Cassidy's POV:

Nobody at Hogwarts knew what actually happened the night of Black's escape. There were many rumors going around, but none were close to the truth.

Malfoy was beyond mad about the escape of Buckbeak the hippogriff and seemed furious about being outsmarted by the gamekeeper. '

No one had found out about my parentage yet which was surprising, but I guess not existing for the past 13 years helped with that.

The atmosphere around the school was very cheerful as the term was coming to an end, though I could tell Harry was still upset about the leave of Lupin and Dad's name not being cleared.

In fact, the whole class seemed upset about the leave of Lupin.

"Wonder what they'll give us next year?" Seamus asked gloomily.

"Maybe a vampire," Dean said hopefully.

     "I bet 2 galleons that it'll be an ex-Auror," I said.

"Deal!" I shook hands with the two, happy about my win. Is it cheating? Ahh, whatever...

"Haven't you guys learned?" Harry joined us at the table we were sitting at. "Never make a deal with the devil."

I scoffed, "Wow, Potter, are you implying I'm the devil?"

"I would never imply anything that would risk me burning in hell for eternity."

Dean and Seamus were both laughing now and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Harry was pursing his lips to hold in his own laugh.

     "Ha. Ha," I groaned.

The exam results came in on the last day of term and the four of us obviously passed all of our classes. Fred and George seemed to have scraped what they could on their OWLS each leaving the rest of the day for me to walk cautiously in the halls.

I second-guessed my every step and never opened doors without someone else around. Any snack I had was thoroughly stared at and observed before I ate it.

So much so that Harry had to make a joke about it.

"Did you want me to check if it's poisonous?" He asked with a glint in his eyes.

"Shut up," I rolled my eyes.

"If you won't, I will," Ron said with a mouth full of bread.

"Ron, chew with your mouth closed," Hermione scolded him.

Ron glared at her before plucking the treacle tart from my hands and shoving it into his mouth.
