"Are you sure you want to walk with me?" Ayame asked, taking a small glance up at Sasuke. "Won't it cause problems if people see you with me?"

Sasuke shrugged. "I have nothing to lose."

They were walking side by side. The distance between them was not close enough for them to be touching, but enough for them to feel the opposing temperatures from each other's body.

Ayame wasn't entirely sure if she was okay with being seen with him. His fangirls would go crazy.

She voiced her concern, "Sasuke-kun, if your fans see me with you, won't they get jealous?"

"Jealous? Of what, exactly?" He questioned, a dark brow raising as he glanced at her.

"Well...it's just that I'm walking with you. Won't they get mad?"

"Do I care?"

"I do. I could get killed for this!"

"Wow. You're not worried about the vampires, but you're worried about the fangirls. I get it." He laughed. "Don't worry. I'll protect you from the big, bad fangirls."

"Sasuke-kun, I'm being serious. I think it would be best if we went in separately." Ayame said softly, "I mean, I don't want to be ganged up on in he changing rooms or something. Let's go in separately."

"But what if I want to walk with you? Did you consider that?"

"Well, too bad. Princes don't always get what they want."

"Well, peasants have to do what royalty order."

"I'm not a peasant. Plus, you're the Prince of the vampire world-"

"One of them."

"How many are there, then?"

"Well..." Sasuke paused for a moment. Once he had seemed to tally up the numbers, he said, "I'm one of the three Princes. There's one Princess."

"In your family?"

"No. There's two Princes in my family. The other, as well as the Princess, belong to the other royal family."

"The vampire world has two royal families? How does that work?"

"We don't rule anymore. We were kicked off the throne about five centuries ago by the other family." Sasuke sighed. "Those assholes never fail to bug me."

Ayame was bursting with questions. She wanted to know everything, but she remembered the original reason for their debate, and pushed the questions she so wanted to ask from her mind. "Anyway, back to my point, Your Highness." She hurried to get in front of him, blocking his path. "I don't want to walk into school with you."

"Oh, you don't?" He rose an eyebrow, taking a step forwards. "Did you forget about our friend Richard?"

She shrugged. "I have the utmost faith that you won't let him even touch me. Be a good vampire and do your job, now," she smiled cheekily, before spinning on her heel and walking away from him.

His eyebrow twitched. What was he, a dog? Here he was, telling her that he was a Prince and he can do whatever the hell he wants, and she - a human with no control over him - ordered him about. Who did she think she was?

He watched her as she continued down the path. When she reached the end of the street, just before the crossed the road, she turned and gave him a wink. He knew what that meant. It translated to a statement a lot like her previous one.

With a sigh, he vanished from sight. A content smile grew on Ayame's lips as she turned, feeling his gaze on her from a direction she couldn't pinpoint.
