Renesmee had fallen asleep on Edward's couch, with her head in my lap. I absentmindedly stroked her copper curls, the curls that reminded me so much of Eliza. It'd been a week since I'd taken her in, given her the mother's love she both wanted and needed, and I loved her.

"Dela?" I turned my head to find Edward, dressed cleanly in a simple white t-shirt and tan trousers.

"What is it? Is something wrong?" I asked, sensing his discomfort, my hand on Renesmee going slack.

"No, I just... can I talk to you?" Edward asked. I nodded, and picked up my daughter. I tucked her into her bed, which had been moved permanently into the attic, and kissed her forehead.

I then went and met Edward in the kitchen.

"here." he handed me a hot mug of mountain lion blood. I sipped it a little, but carefully, as my tastebuds were still relatively against not having human blood. I also think my eyes are losing their violet tint with their red color, which was currently the color of a fresh penny.

"Adelina... I think I still have feelings for you. I'd like to try again, to have you back the way I did before I was too weak to stay with you. Only if you'll have me, too." Edward said slowly-as if my immensely vast and powerful mind needed that.

"I.. I feel the same, Edward. I missed you." I said, smiling as I kissed him.
