i walk into the living room to see my  brother daniel and his friends i look at jack and smile at him for a split second he looks at me and winks i stand in shock when daniel runs up to me "happy 17th olivia" he places his arm on my head "you have a grey hair already" he laughs the rest of the boys look at me "the boys got you gifts" daniel says zach walks up to me "im not the best at gifts but i got you this necklace with your name on it i thought it looked pretty" he hands it me you jonah walks up to you "i got you a candle not the best gift but i hope you use it" corbyn hands me 70 dollars "thought you could get your nails done not sure how much getting nails done is so i gave you 70" and finally jack walks up to you "i went shopping with your mom she said you like stuffed animals and candy so i got both" he hands me a teddy bear and two packs of candy my little sister runs up to me "olivia i drew you a picture" i take it from her "aww thank you i love it" i smile jack smiles and laughs zach nudges him "you got a crush huh" i stare at jack with a small smile and he blushes "your ruining it zach" jonah says walking towards daniel who had been right next to me but now is near the door "k guys anyone else wanna head to the store" daniel says opening the door "yeah i'm down" jonah zach and corbyn say running towards the door "i think i'm going to hang out with olivia" "k" daniel says leaving jack walks towards me and sits down and he does the same "why would you want to stay with me" i ask almost as if i was mad he looks down "well i'm not really sure the boys are just to hyper today" "oh" we both lock eyes and stare at each other for a minute "i hope your birthday goes the way you want" he says with a barely noticeable smile "me too" i say with a low voice "why would you say that" he says confused "my dad comes back today" slowly frowning "oh i'm sorry" "it's ok no need to apologize" he grabs my hand and stares into my eyes i stare back at him my biggest dream could be happening i had known jack since i was 8 i had always had a crush on him but i never talk to him just stare i'd always interact with corbyn jonah and zach jack is just different it's almost as if he's perfect but i knew nothing could happen between us he's my brothers best friend it'd be weird he interrupts my thoughts by saying "your really pretty olivia" "thank you" i say stuttering and feeling like a fool we start a conversation that lasts forever it feels like i look down noticing he's still holding my hand when the boys come back he quickly pulls his hand from mine and i sort of feel sad he gets up and rushes towards them acting as if what happened hadn't been real still sitting on the floor i get up and take the gifts they had given me into my room and called my friends when i heard steps coming towards my door i was wondering if it was my dad but relieved when it was jack he walked towards me and hugged me i was shocked "it looked like you needed this when i let go of your hand" his voice is comforting the longer he hugs me the more i feel ok he leaves my room and heads back downstairs then i look back towards my phone to see i'm still on face time and all the girls are shocked when i asked why they tell me that apparently jack and the rest of the boys including my brother are the most popular boys in school of course i hadn't known this per usual but why hadn't anyone told me about this "what has it have to do with jack hugging me" i ask they tell me jack has a girlfriend he's had one for two years my heart drops it feels like he's teasing me but i shook it off as if i didn't hear it cause i didn't want to i think 2 hours had past of talking to my friends when daniel called me down so i quickly rushed down when i saw my dad i stopped looking worried my dad hugged daniel and daniel introduced the boys to him then he went to hug me but i stepped away my mom looked mad but i didn't wanna hug him or be near him so i looked at daniel desperate and he helped by having my little sister hug him i sat down by jack and he held my hand i felt that feeling of happiness again i feel like he could tell but we just silently sit and look at each other he got a text from his girlfriend about a facetime photo my friends posted of jack hugging me she was yelling at him "here ill handle it jack" i say quietly and i take his phone then text his girlfriend as if i was him saying he was sorry then came up with a reason that he hugged me i had said that he hugged me cause he accidentally threw a bottle at my head she apologized for yelling and left him alone "thank you olivia" he says calmly my dad had left and daniel chose to have a sleepover it was 3:00 am when i realized the boys put jack in my bed i checked my phone and of course they took a picture and posted it it was 5 minutes ago jack moved and pulled me closer by then the waist "i love you jack avery" then his girlfriend called he didn't wake up so i answered it they posted it on jacks account so she saw it when i answered hello and she started screaming i just hung up cause it was to much for me i go back to sleep as if jack wasn't with me and when i woke up jack was holding on to me like i was a stuffed animal i force him to wake up but he doesn't let me go he just sits there and stares at me we start talking and out of no where he holds my hand i always feel safe when he holds my hand daniel calls us and we had 20 minutes to get ready for school so we quickly  get ready and rush out the door we get to school and jack starts holding my hand when we get in we're in the same classes so he walks me too all of them it makes me feel happy but we had apparently 1 hour till school actually started i ran up to my best friend and started talking to her jack leaned against my locker and had a small smirk on his face corbyn tried to get him to hang out with everyone else but he just sat by my side like a guard dog he was still holding my hand he wouldn't let go i'm pretty sure half the school thinks we're dating but he probably doesn't care when my ex best friend came up to me she tried yelling at me when i realized it was jacks girlfriend jack quickly pushed me and my friend behind him and started talking to her she was accusing us of dating and she tried to punch jack but her friends had stopped her i was relieved and we went jumped straight back to talking after that when class started jack sat next to me and just refused to let go of my hand i finally forced him to let go when i asked to use the the bathroom and the teacher excused me  when i got to the bathroom my best friend was there as we planned we were gonna skip class but got bored so we just went back to class and of course as soon as i got back jack held my hand again after class we went back to the lockers "we can go get your nails done after school" jack says staring across the room "with the money corbyn gave you" he says still looking at something  i try not to talk to him cause i still felt weird about last night and i think he did as well and he pulled me close and said something i couldn't hear but his voice always sounds soothing i feel like i can't hear anything else when he talks when out of no where someone grabs my arm and yanks me from jack i turn around to find it was daniel "daniel seavey you scared me jesus" he can tell i'm angry he laughs "why was jack hugging" you he says as if he's the coolest guy at school or even on earth "what is it illegal for him to hug me" i say with a tone only a brat would he wouldn't stop laughing and the rest of the boys were too i felt like they were a gang and them being tall wasn't helping jack quickly steps infront of me "daniel your scaring her" daniel backs off and walks away after that the day was normal and we went home nothing special happened again until as soon as i fall asleep of course but luckily my best friends kay and mia were sleeping on the floor in the living room the boys basically live here so that's great it was 1:00 am when we went to bed and both girls screamed to find jack of course right next to me he didn't wake up which was weird i got up and me and the girls went back to my room and just slept in my room in the morning we hadn't had school cause it was saturday we walked down to see jack still sleeping and no one was
awake when we checked what time it was it said 6:00 am so that was great but me and the girls made breakfast and by the time it was 7:00 it was done the girls woke up zach corbyn jonah and daniel while i woke up jack wasn't as easy as i was hoping but i got him up my mom and sister were out of town for a week to hang out with my dad so everyone was staying for a week the boys being apparently so smart to put jack with me when i'm asleep was just great "hey boys" i say passing them plates of food we all eat them the girls and i go to plan a day with the boys we all planned to go to the mall then we all could go wherever we wanted so we headed there we all wrote who we wanted to go with and where we wanted to go us girls chose to go to some clothing stores and the boys did what they wanted after 3 hours us girls got matching clothes and when we went to meet up the boys had skateboards "of course" we all said walking towards them since i'm amazing i push the girls into zach and jonah "and now i announce u guys dating" i say with pride then jack was pushed into me and i almost fell but he caught me and they all were laughing he helped me up they all told me it was like i was in a movie i wasn't very happy about what happened when we all got back i forced the girls to hang out with zach and jonah soon kay and mia agreed and then they forced me to hang out with jack so i did we both went into my room and talked he slowly grabbed my hand and he sat looking into my eyes still talking to me but acting as if he's not paying attention just staring at me he always makes me feel safe i think i'm inlove with him my phone rings it's from mia she asks if the camera in my room is still going she laughs and i just hang up "who was that" he asks "just mia" "oh" he continues to stare "here come on i wanna know what everyone else is doing" i say grabbing his hand and we both walk into the living room mias cuddling with jonah and kay is sitting on zachs lap "a little to fast" i say looking at both of them they don't even look they just continue to talk jack let's go of my hand and i'm confused i look at him concerned when i realize he's texting someone he has tears in his eyes "hey jack what's wrong" i say grabbing his arm "we're moving.." he says with a sad tone and my heart drops he sits on the stairs and i sit next to him i can tell he's stressed so i don't say anything i lean against him and put my head on his shoulder and he puts his arm around me "i love you" he whisperers i barley heard it over everyone talking i was completely frozen "i love you too jack" i say still shocked he looks at me and he goes to kiss me but i but he stops "i'm sorry olivia" he says with regret "hey it's ok" he sits in silence i was debating on kissing him or not i knew he wouldn't stop me but would he still like me if i did "screw it" i kissed him i didn't regret doing it either he sits in silence then he smiles which makes me feel happy inside his smile is so contagious i smile back at him when i fall back into reality i think about him leaving "i'm gonna miss you" he says grabbing my hand like he always does "i'm gonna miss you too" i say with a shaky voice i hug him and he hugs me back "you guys good" jonah says looking confused "i'm moving away next week" jack says looking at him
