Later that night.

Violet 🌺

Girl I still kiss your head in the morning
Make you breakfast in bed while you're yawning

And I don't do everything how you want it
But you can't say your man don't be on it
Cos I know true love ain't easy, ain't easy
Girl I know it's you, cos you complete me
Complete me...

And I just don't want you leaving
Even though I give you reasons

I listened intently to the music as Devon drove us home. Leaning on the chair I tilted my head looking at the city through the window.

After all the pettiness and arguing we'd finally made up and I was feeling more at peace.

"Listen to this part ma."
Devon said tapping my thing as I turned to look at him.

And I know there's no replacing what we had going on for so long
But when it hurts, I can make it better
Girl if it works, its gon' be forever
Been through the worst, made it through the weather
Our problems and the pain

Cos love don't change...

The music continued as I looked at him smiling.

"We gon' go through alot of arguments and shit baby, but you're the only one I wanna spend my life with. You know that?"

He asked and I nodded, putting his hand against my cheek and feeling his warmth before I layed on it.

"I know babe, I feel the same."
I said slouching back in my seat.

Yawning I felt my eyes slowly close as my mind drifted off into a soft sleep.

10 minutes
"Baby wake up, we're here."
Devon said softly before I head the door shut.

Slowly sitting up I opened my eyes and looked over to his seat realizing it was empty before my door opened.

"Come on ma."
He said holding his hand out and I stepped out of the car rubbing my eyes.

He locked up the doors before we made our way in.

"You hungry."
Devon asked as soon as we walked in and I shook my head.

"No babe, I'll have desert though."
I said quickly as we walked into the kitchen and he chuckled.

"What babe, you have ice cream in here?"
I asked walking over to the fridge to look for ice cream. He loudly smacked his lips going to lean on the counter watching me.

"Whats wrong with you?"

"Nothing ma, you just be playing too much."
He said and I frowned with a spoonful of ice cream in my mouth.

"I thought we were over the club situation babe."
I said continuing to eat my ice cream, not really in the mood to argue with him.

"Nah not that, you telling me you want desert and I'm out here thinking you talkin' about nigga."
He said with all seriousness in his face and I almost chocked from the laughter incoming.
