There was a knock on my room door and I knew it was Chris. I honestly don't want to discuss what just happened or anything revolving around it and I wish I could just ignore him but I can't.

"Yeah?" I called out

He came inside and stood in my doorway, "What?" I asked. He stood there so dumbfounded.

He sighed, "Uh...Can I take Cheyenne for the night?" He asked

"N—I don't know."

He made a confused expression, "Why not?"

"I'm just not used to being away from her—"

"You'll only be away from her for a night, I want to get better at being there for her, so I wanted to try it on my own. I'll eventually be taking her anyway—for longer days at that. I'm tired of driving all the way out here for a few hours." He explained

"You're the one that stays for a few hours."

"I didn't know I was welcomed to stay longer."

"You're visiting your daughter, of course you're able to stay longer. Not stay the night, but longer hours."

He nodded, "Okay, noted for next time. But, for now, can I take her for the night? I'll even FaceTime you before I go to bed." He said

"Of course to see her." He added

I didn't want to argue about it, plus he has a point.

"Alright. You'll need something to lay her in though, you're not used to sleeping in the bed with her and I don't want you to roll on her."

He nodded, "Okay, what do I need?"

"Mia bought a traveling crib that I never unpacked, so you can just take that. I'll get her overnight bag ready." I said and got up to begin getting the already pumped milk ready for the bag.

I grabbed the one she didn't finish from my dresser and left the room to get the rest of the things.

He sat in my room and on my bed the entire time.

When I was finished I went and got her car seat out of my car.

"Unlock your car door." I said, walking back into my bedroom.

He tossed me the keys and I went back out to unlock it. I secured the car seat and put the bag on the seat next to it.

"You'll just need to put the crib in the trunk." I said

He said okay and left out of my room to go do so.

I prepared her and made sure she didn't need any changing.

"She's all ready." I said

He took a deep sigh, "Okay."

I kissed her cheeks and talked to her for a second before finally walking outside to put her in the car.

He stood at the passenger side door with me as I finished strapping her in

"Now, the bottle warmer is in the bag, the settings are on the side. When you burp her, put a towel or something you could careless about over your shoulder incase she vomits a bit. She typically sleeps through the night and gets up in the early morning. She'll need a bottle then and they're already prepared." I explained
