I felt really compelled to make this update sooner than the others. Excuse any mistakes, I didn't proofread before publishing... Enjoy 🤗

"Breathe, Taylor, breathe. You have to calm down." Mia said as we pulled up to the hospital

"But it hurts, these contractions hurt!"

"I know, I just want you to be calm, you'll be okay, love. Take some deep breaths." She said

She opened the car door and ran to go get a nurse or someone. They helped place me into a wheelchair and rolled me into a room.

Mia helped me get changed into my gown as the doctor asked me a series of questions.

She put my IV in and checked how far along I was dilated.

"I'm Dr. Greene, okay, and you're only dilated 2 centimeters—and you have to be at 10, so we'll give baby a few hours so you can get at 10 and you should be ready, okay?" She asked, following with a warm smile.

"Okay." I sighed

"Everything is okay, take a few breaths. You'll do just fine." She said and left the room.

I took a deep breath and tried to relax my mind, because there was no way my body was going to relax.

"You doing okay?" Mia asked, taking a seat.

"Yeah, I'm fine, hopefully."

"If you don't mind, can Chris come? You know, at least see the birth of his first child?" Mia asked

I shook my head, "No."

"You don't think so? I mean I know you two are having issues right now but he does have the right to come see the birth, don't you think? You don't even have to talk about what happened or whatever—but he should still come."

I sighed, "Okay, but he's not coming back to my place or anything!"

"He doesn't have to. Just let him come see his daughter get born." She smiled

"Okay, okay, go ahead and call him." I said and rolled my eyes

She smiled as she stepped out of the room.

I'm not ready to see him just yet but with this pain I'm feeling, I can't even dwell on as to why.

I heard her on the phone outside of the room, then she came back in seconds later, with a smile on her face.

"I'm so excited! And, it was so cute, he was excited as well. I believe he was asleep but I heard lots of tumbling when I told him you were having the baby. I think he's excited to see you and for the baby to be coming too." She said, sitting back in her seat.

"I bet he is." I said and rolled my eyes.

"I really think you should try to get a bit of rest before it's time to push—which will be extremely tiring probably." Mia suggested

"I know, I'll try to." I said

I adjusted myself on the bed and tried to relax as much as possible by taking a few more deep breaths.

Hours later

I was awakened by another sharp pain that hurt worse than any of the previous ones I had.

I wailed in pain, grabbing the side rail, feeling the tears forming in my eyes.

I felt a hand rest on my arm, "Shh, it's okay...calm down." I heard Chris say

I opened my eyes, allowing the tears to fall, seeing Chris standing beside the bed.

I couldn't feel any way towards him at the moment nor spew the hate I practiced for the day I would finally see him right now. I was in too much pain, and that was only thing I could think and talk about at the moment.
