"Are you sure you want to know now?" Chris asked me

"Yes. I'm positive, I set the appointment already." I said

"You set the appointment last time and changed your mind last minute so I'm just checking." He said

"I don't know why I'm fighting it."

"I don't know why either, we're just going to know the gender." He said

"Well whatever it is, I'm ready now. The appointment is at 10:30 tomorrow and after we find out the gender I want to go shopping immediately so clear your schedule."

He squinted his eyes, "You know I'm still on suspension." He said

"Oh, right." I replied

"Just wanted to make sure you has nothing else to do." I added

"This gel must've been stored in the freezer for it to be so cold." I said as the doctor rubbed the gel over my stomach

She smiled, "All gel is typically cold. It's stored at room temperature though." She replied

"Do y'all have to go through all of these procedures though? Y'all can't just like touch their stomach and find out the gender?" Chris asked

I playfully rolled my eyes, "They have to see inside of my stomach."

"I just feel like touching it would make their job easier." He shrugged

He was really serious, as if he was giving logical advice.

"Well don't you think if it were that easy that we could've done it?"

He thought for a second, "You actually right about that." He chuckled

"Oh—there it is. So, you two are expecting a baby girl. Congratulations." She smiled

I let out a big sigh of relief and smiled as she wiped the gel off of my stomach.

"So we basically having another you?" Chris asked as I got up off of the table.

"Don't say it like it's a bad thing." I said

"It honestly isn't, the attitudes just about to be through the roof." He said

The doctor passed me some papers and gave me some tips to follow during my pregnancy and Chris and I headed back out.

"I want to go to Children's place first. I know they have some adorable clothes for babies."

"First? We not about to be out all day, Tay. The game coming on so this your only stop for today." He said

I sighed, "Yeah yeah." I said, overlooking him.

"I'm serious, Taylor. I'm not trying to miss this damn game."

"Okay Chris, shut up!" I said and rolled my eyes

"You gone get enough of tellin' me to shut up. You been saying that shit all day." He said as we got in the car

"Because you keep giving me reasons to, stop complaining."

"Last person to be talking about complaining. You done complained about 10 things in one hour today." He replied

"Oh, you're counting." I sarcastically said

He shook his head and laughed, "Whats funny? Thinking of another complaint?" I asked

"Oh good one! But actually that's you—complaining every hour. It's just funny 'cause I'm already knowing we're going to be some funny ass parents." He said
