Chapter 28: Met Someone

We laid here panting out of breath, that was 4 rounds in total. All I could think about was going to sleep now.

It felt amazing, that's the wildest I've been in a minute. But, I feel... guilty, or stupid for doing it. Remembering what took place last time and what I walked in on. Not only that, the fact that I always rebuttal and do what I say we're not ever going to do again, at least not until we're together. Then there's the remaining factor that he always wants sex but no commitment.

"What you thinkin' about?" He asked

"How do you always know when I'm in deep thought?"

"I know you well enough now." He said it and stared at the TV.

I sighed, I debated whether I wanted to speak on it since we've already touched basis on this topic and I don't want him to think I'm trying to be unnecessarily dramatic.

I decided to say it anyway, "Why— well how do you expect to continue doing this with no commitment?" I asked

He sighed, "We talked about this and I said we could work on it. Why you asking me again?"

"Because I feel like we're doing something we shouldn't be doin'..."

"Damn, Taylor, we are having a baby together, that doesn't give me some type of entitlement?" He asked

"Not necessarily." I replied

He turned over, "I'm about to go to sleep." He said

I turned the opposite way and pulled the comforter over me.

I heard him shifting then he pulled me close to him and laid his head in the crook of my neck.

4 PM

"Damn, I been sleep this long." I heard Chris mumble

I kept my eyes closed and tried to fall back to sleep but I heard a loud tumble and some more shit.

I opened my eyes and Chris was just getting off of the floor, the lamp was knocked over, "What are you doing?" I asked

"I'm an hour late to my meeting, I'm tryin' to rush but I done fell and bussed my ass and the lamp came wit' me." He said

I couldn't help but laugh, he makes the most serious situations funny.

"Don't kill yourself trying to rush." I said

"I'll try not to." He said and left out of the room

I closed my eyes again and was only asleep for approximately 15 minutes.

"Babe, I'm about to go. If you need to go somewhere just take one of my cars since I don't have time to drop you off at home. I should be back here around 8." He said and left out of the room

A text message sound went off and It was Mia.

Mia: are we still on for meeting up today?
4:23 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot. Where we going?
4:24 PM

Mia: we can go get something to eat and head to the movies.
4:26 PM

Okay, ill come get you. Give me 30.
4:27 PM

Luckily I packed more than one of everything so I could shower often.
