CH 13 || Stuck In A Quagmire

Start from the beginning

I did get married but my feelings for Dia persisted which will only be gone with time. I had compromised with my fate but was oblivious to whether she will be able to or not.

I never wanted her to hate me but eventually, in the end, I was going to be at the receiving end of her enormous hate.

Then comes my wife, Anvi. How much I try to solve her the more she gets complicated like a puzzle.

She is arcane.

I was petrified when I found her in a shocking state back at the airport in India. Her lack of response scared me for a bit. The hug we shared was brief but it did give me peace.

It was weird how I had feelings for Dia yet at the same time Anvi was making me curious about her.

I texted Dia to meet me in the office the next day. She was ecstatic hearing me and was planning for a date but I somehow convinced her not to plan such extravagant things.

I knew none of my apologies was going to help me because she in the end was going to get hurt.

Anvi had denied having dinner and had gone to the room I showed her. By the time I reached her room after informing my family about our safe arrival, Anvi was fast asleep. She had forgotten to switch off the lights so I did it for her before going towards my room.

The long lost sleep didn't come to me easily. After around one hour of tossing and turning around, I finally slept.

The next day I got up at six in the morning, my usual time even when I slept late

The next day I got up at six in the morning, my usual time even when I slept late. Anvi was sound asleep so I didn't disturb her.

I ate the breakfast made by Ms. Chetna after I got ready and left but not before leaving a note for Anvi.

I was in the cabin preparing myself for the meeting when my assistant Ian Russell who was by the way one of my good friends arrived.

"Sorry, dude. I was stuck in traffic." he apologized.

"It's fine. I went through the reports already but do you think the fifth number point is relevant?" I asked going through the presentation Ian was about to present in front of the clients.
