Goodbye

Shawn was sitting on a park bench when I walked in the empty garden, at this time it was expected. I sat in next to him and as soon as he felt my presence he turned now both of us facing each other.

"Why didn't you told me?" I asked my eyes pleading for answers.

"Maybe for the same reasons you didn't." He sighed before answering.

"I was afraid of you knew you'd walk away." I said and he held my hand tightly in his. I didn't even needed to ask if I was just a game because I knew I wasn't.

I connected our lips, and although he did kissed me back something about that kiss was different it was like when a soldier kissed his wife before going to war. When we pulled away, we both had tears in our eyes. He kissed my forehead and lips once again before whispering the words which broke my heart into a million little pieces.

"I love you more than anything but right now I can't.... My stepdad he's a very very bad man, he can do anything when it comes to his own benefit and he hates your father with too much passion to let you go, he knows you are his weakness and he'll do everything in his will to use you.....I'm- I'm so so sorry I love you so damn much just know this...goodbye."

He didn't even gave me a chance to respond as in seconds he was out of the iron gates, and I was left crying and calling out his name desperately.

It had been almost three years since that heart-wrenching night in the dark empty garden and I still loved him. I tried to find him everywhere but still there wasn't a single trace of him.
