Hurt:

137 10 17

I let you in to the depths of my heart
Yet you continuously tore it apart
I didn't know what to do
Even though my mother said I shouldn't continue to talk to you
I did continue to do that
And you continued to hurt me, and that's a true fact

I loved you too much to see
That you were not good for me
I loved you too much to know
That, from this, I will surely not grow

You hurt me
Deeply
I'm wounded still
My hurt will not leave up that forgiveness hill
I've tried, to no success
To relieve me of this mess
It hasn't worked at all
I've tried my hardest to throw it like a ball

I loved you too much to see
That you were not good for me
I loved you too much to know
That, from this, I'll surely not grow

You, and all people like you,
Should finally open up their eyes and know the truth
Hurting someone will not bring you up high
Although, you might give it a try
You will bring yourself down too
Not only me, that's true
Your ego will be
On the same level as me
You will not gain a thing
By hurting a human being

So, just know this:
Your hurting I won't miss
And loving you too much to not see
Hurt me deeply
And the fact that you weren't good for me
Just adds to the argument, so be careful carefully
Because who wants this on their shoulder?
Who wants to carry something that feels like a ten pound boulder?
Loving you too much to know
That from this I'll surely not grow
Does not help me at all
Because of you, I sorta still feel small

I loved you too much to see
That you were not good for me
I loved you too much to know
That from this, I'll surely not grow
