Being young

When we were young
Did we know a lot?
When we were young
Did we show a lot?

We knew enough
We didn't know everything
We knew some stuff
But we didn't know how it is we came into being

Okay, maybe we did
That, I can admit
But we didn't know
That the world can change tomorrow

We used to dance in the snow
We used to prance among the leaves
We used to do so many things
We used to be sweet and naive

I'm not saying we're not sweet and naive now
But it's different than it was, somehow
We were dreamers not too long ago
But things changed so
