Chapter 11 The Councillor and The Artist

Nhzual: Wrong. I'm Ann, and she's Nhzual.

Ann just looked at Nhzual and hit him on the arm and Maruki chuckled.

Ryuji: How do you even know our names?

Maruki: Well, I was informed of certain students before beginning my tenure here. Those that had ah...previous interactions with Mr. Kamoshida.

Maruki then looked at Nhzual and Akira.

Maruki: It most have especially been tough for the two of after having just transferring here.

Nhzual: Not really.

Akira: We managed to get by.

Maruki: You're both are quite the tough youngsters. Just don't over do it, okay?

Ryuji: So, what do you want with us?

Maruki: Ah yes, I'd forgotten...I know I already offered my services to the student body earlier, but would four be interested in counseling?

Ryuji: Nope, not at all.

Maruki then looked at them surprised.

Ryuji: How's that surprising?

Maruki: You were just a touch more emphatic about it then I'd expected. Ah! But, if you come to my office, you can have free snacks! All you can eat...would be nice, but there's still plenty to be had. So, how about it?

Akira: We're not little kids.

Nhzual So...Tell me more of these snacks you spoke of...

Ann: Nhzual! Don't fall for that!

Nhzual: But snacks!

Maruki: To be frank, I've been especially ordered to provide counseling to the students directly involved with Mr. Kamoshida. It's in the school's interest...for it's students.

Ryuji: Ahhh, the school's interest, huh?

Maruki: I know that asking you to be open with a complete stranger like myself is a lot. Making this mandatory wouldn't do you any good, either. Might as well turn it into a worthwhile experience...oh, I know! if you attend my counseling sessions, I'll teach you different ways to improve your mental acuity. Like ways to hone your concentration before exams, or getting nervous on dates. How's that sound?

Ann: Uh...

Maruki: There's also snacks...

Nhzual: When do we start?

Ann: Nhzual!

Ryuji: Alright, alright, enough with three snacks!

Akira: No harm in a little chat.

Nhzual: Plus snacks.

Ann: Stop that.

Ryuji: I guess it'd just be more trouble for us if we didn't go...

Ann: Hmm, yeah.

Maruki: Really? Then, I guess it's a deal. I'll be in the nurse's office, feel free to come by whenever it's convenient for you.

Ryuji: Welp, we should get goin.

Maruki: Okay. I'll see you later.

The four of them started to walk away, but Maruki spoke up to Nhzual.

Maruki: Thanks for taking my counseling into consideration. Now that we have a deal, I promise I'll do my best to help you.
