Chapter 66

Carson POV
"Carson come down here" Ethan calls me from downstairs

I walk downstairs and I see my parents

"Mom Dad!" I yell and give them a hug

"Hi buddy" my dad says and ruffles my hair

"I thought you guys weren't getting in till Saturday" I say

"We caught an early flight so we'd have more time with you two" My mom says

"Well come on I'll show you guys to my room" Ethan says and shows them upstairs

Their sleeping in his room because he has the biggest bed and bathroom and Ethan's staying in the guest room

I walk upstairs after them and walk to my room but stop once I hear my parents and Ethan start talking

"So how's Carson doing?" My mom questions

"What do you mean?" Ethan asks

"I mean is he acting more responsible more mature less reckless?" My dad clarifies

"Compared to when he first got here definitely" Ethan says

"Would you say enough to come home to finish out the year" My mom asks

I love my parents but I don't wanna leave, I have amazing friends, an amazing girlfriend, I'm doing great a basketball, I'm making great grades and I'm closer than I've ever been with Ethan and I don't wanna give that up.

I wait for Ethan to say something like no I'm not ready but instead he says ya I guess after that I went to my room.

I don't want to go back to North Carolina and I have to do something to show my parents I'm not ready to go back but what is something huge I could do to show them I think .

I got it!

A few hours later

I texted Autumn, Mike, Jax and Daniel and told them my plan they all thought it was stupid but then I told them I about my parents conversation with Ethan and they were in.

Around 8 pm my parents and Ethan went out for dinner and I stayed home because I 'didn't feel well' as soon as they left Autumn, Daniel, Mike and Jax came over

"Alright so everyone clear on the plan" I ask

"Ya" Jax Mike and Daniel say

"I still think this is stupid" Autumn says

"It'll be fine Ethan and my parents will come home see there's a 'party' going on see me about to jump off the banister clear everyone out my parents will think I'm definitely not ready to come home and let me stay in Oregon" I explain

Autumn rolls her eyes a bit but agrees

I didn't wanna throw a real party since it's only gonna be a few minutes so my friends and I just invited a few people around 20 who aren't super crazy over

I messed up the place and around 8:30 people started to come

9:30

"CARSON ETHANS BACK" Mike yells

I run upstairs and climb over the banister holding on tight to the railing

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!!" Ethan yells and people start to hurry out a few seconds later Ethan sees me and storms up the stairs

"Climb over NOW" Ethan yells I lift my self up and instead of getting my leg over I kinda tripped and face planted on the upstairs floor

"Hey Ethan" I say

"Go. To. Your. Room. NOW" Ethan yells

I walk to my room and I hear Ethan walk downstairs and start talking to my parents

"He hasn't done anything like this is a long time guys" Ethan explains

"Yes well it seems like Carson is most definitely not ready to come home" My dad says

Ethan agrees and then I hear him coming upstairs

"What the hell Carson!" Ethan says

"What has gotten into you?" Ethan asks me

"I didn't wanna go back to North Carolina" I tell him

"You couldn't have thought of a better way to let me know like i don't know telling me" Ethan says

"Didn't come to mind" I say

"Well congratulations you're not going back to North Carolina but you're grounded for 3 weeks" Ethan says

"But that's not fair I had a plan" I complain

"A stupid plan" Ethan says

"A stupid plan that worked" I say

"I'll give you that" Ethan says

"So can I be ungrounded?" I ask

"You're grounded for 2 weeks" Ethan says

"Alright fine" I say

"And next time don't come up with a stupid plan just talk to me bud" Ethan says

"Ehh I'll probably just do something stupid again" I say

"Great then you're grounded for the rest of your life" Ethan says

"I hate you" I joke
