Continued from last chapter
Carson POV
I ended up failing asleep near the end of the movie but I've already seen it so it doesn't really matter
Anyway today Ethan has his meeting and he says it's gonna take a few hours
"Can I please have my phone?" I ask
"No I told you can only have your electronics if you're good which you were not now be thankful I'm letting you watch tv and don't ask again before I take that away as well" Ethan says
"Can I go swimming?" I ask
"No I don't want you going around the hotel without me" Ethan says
"Fine" I say
"Good now I have to get going if you get hungry you can order room service I don't care what you get but be reasonable, be good and don't leave I will call the room phone to check on you and if you really need me you can call the front desk and they can get me but only do that if it's life or death and you're already dying" Ethan says
"I got it" I say
"Good I have to go I love you I'll see you later" Ethan says and kisses my head
I turn on the tv and watch for about an hour but then that gets boring so I go look for my phone thankfully Ethan didn't take it with him so I type in my password and it's denied
He changed my password Ugh. I try a bunch of passwords that I think Ethan would choose and none of them work and then my phone disables itself for 15 minutes!!
Ughhh
I put it back where I found it and look around the room
Outside I can see the pool
I check the time on my disabled phone. It's only 12:00 and Ethan said his meeting is going to last all day long
With that logic I grab my swim trunks and head to the pool
I stay outside for about an hour and a half before deciding I should go back so I'm definitely there when Ethan finishes his meeting
I gather my stuff and start walking back to the room when something catches my eye...an arcade room!
I walk over and see a ton of fun games
I start playing a racing game and I get first place
"Hey you're really good" some kid with blonde hair says
"Thanks! I'm Carson" I introduce
"Nice to meet you I'm Bradley and that's my younger brother Luke" Bradley says then points to a kid who looks about a year younger then me
"Cool so what are you guys doing in Phoenix?" I ask
"Our mom and dad have a business meeting down here and they didn't wanna leave us home alone what about you" Bradley says
"Same except my brother has a meeting" I say
"Nice" Bradley says
"So you play GTA?" He asks motioning to the GTA machines a few feet away (I don't know if they make arcade versions or not but let's pretend they do)
"Hell ya" I say
Bradley, Luke and I start playing a bunch of games
They are both super cool. They're from a small town in Illinois, Bradley is in 10th grade and Luke's in 8th but they still go to same school because the school is pre-k to 12th grade and they both love sports and their dad use to play hockey for the Coyotes
After playing for a while who I think is their parents come in
"Hey guys" a lady with blonde hair says
"I see you made a new friend. Hi I'm Natalie and this is John we're these two rascals parents" Natalie says
"It's nice to meet you" I say
"Carson's from Oregon he's here with his brother for a business meeting" Colin says
"Oh how nice he was probably at the same one as us what's your brothers name?" John asks
"Ethan Kyles" I say
"Oh yes he made some very brilliant points today and I remember talking to him during a break very nice guy" John says
"Ya he's great I should probably go find him before he wonders where I am but it was very nice to meet all of you" I say
"You too Carson" Bradley says
I smile and gather my stuff and walk back to the room
Once I unlock the door I see Ethan there and he does not look happy
"Oh my god Carson where have you been I was about to call the police" Ethan raises his voice
"Sorry I went to the pool and then to the arcade and I lost track of time" I admit
"Are you kidding me I told you not to leave the room" Ethan says
"I know but" I start saying
"No buts I told you to do something and you directly disobeyed me again why is it so hard for you to do what I tell you to do" Ethan says
"Well I don't disobey you intentionally but all the things you tell me not to do are things I want to do" I say probably not my smartest move because Ethan looks at me in complete disbelief
"Oh oh I get it because your wants overrule what I say is that it?" Ethan asks
"Well no not exactly" I say
"Oh not not exactly so only sometimes right so if I tell you not to jump off a bridge but then you decide you really want to jump off a bridge it's off the bridge you go right?" Ethan says
I think about what to say but Ethan cuts me off
"That's just great Carson I am clearly wasting my breath with you" Ethan sighs and takes a seat on the couch
"Go take a shower and put on some clean clothes or or I guess I should say don't take a shower and go put on some dirty clothes cus then you might actually do what I want you to do" Ethan rants
"I'll go take a shower I'm sorry" I say
Ethan just shakes his head and sighs
