Chapter 39

Carson POV
Once again I fucked up. Of course. I don't understand why the fuck I do this shit.

I'm currently sitting in the back of a cop car while the cop in front drives me home on his way to tell Ethan about my night.

I wasn't even supposed to be out tonight that makes it ten times worse and is gonna make Ethan ten times madder.

I sigh and rest my head back on the seat.

"Step out Please" the cop instructs me I do as told and look at the house their are two lights on so I'm assuming Ethan is aware I'm gone.

"I need to walk you to your door" The Officer says

"Ok" I say we walk to my front door and the officer knocks. I hear footsteps approaching and I want to run but my legs won't move. In a swift movement the door opens.

"Carson what did you do?!" Ethan growls

"He was caught underage drinking at a party that was busted for drugs" The Officer explains

"Thank you for bringing him home" Ethan says and apologizes for the trouble the officer smiles and walks back to his car.

"Inside now" Ethan growls then slams the door.

I quickly sit on the couch and stare at the floor.

"What the fuck Carson if you keep doing this shit you're gonna get arrested and charged and then you'll go to jail and then when you get out you'll be put into a group home or be sent to military school god why can't you just" Ethan starts to say

"Why can't I What" I say

"Why can't you be more like Dylan" Ethan yells I get up and walk upstairs pushing pass him.

Dylan is my cousin he's my age but the complete opposite of me he doesn't really come home for holidays because he goes to some fancy private school but basically I'm the screw up and he's the angel. It's always been like that he one ups me at everything I hate him. And the fact is that Ethan knows that so I can't believe he'd say that.

"Carson" Ethan says coming upstairs

"Leave me alone I don't wanna talk to you" I yell through the door

"I don't care if you don't unlock the door I'm gonna take it off" Ethan threatens

Ugh I sigh and lay down on my bed and fall asleep.

Next day

I'm glad that Ethan let me sleep but now I have to talk to him.

I walk downstairs.

"There's eggs in the pan" Ethan says from the living room

"Thanks" I say

"Come here when you finish your breakfast" Ethan says I grab a plate and some eggs then sit down next to Ethan

"Bud I shouldn't have said what I said last night I'm sorry" Ethan starts

"I know how much you hate being compared to Dylan" Ethan says

"Ya" I say

"Besides I wouldn't trade you for 1000 Dylan's he's too perfect and grown up" Ethan says

"And I'm too much of a screw up" I say

"You're not a screw up you're 14 you make mistakes" Ethan says

"So does that mean I'm off the hook for last night" I say

"No that is the second time you've been brought home by a cop" Ethan says

"Anymore and they're gonna call child services" Ethan says

"I'm sorry" I say

"Once is a mistake anymore is a choice and choices have consequences" Ethan says

"1 week home school practice and you have extra chores" Ethan says

"Ughh" I groan

Ethan gets up and takes my plate and puts it in the sink.

I grab the remote but Ethan comes and takes it and taps my head with it.

"No tv" Ethan says

"Can't it start tomorrow" I beg

"It can if you wanna add more days" Ethan says

"Ughhhhhh" I groan

"Do the dishes take Clooney on a walk and get the mail" Ethan instructs

I do as told and take Clooney for a walk and I get the mail.

When I get home I start the dishes and then I lay down on the couch.

"You need to vacuum" Ethan says

I get up and start vacuuming and when I finish vacuuming I sit down with Ethan.

"Don't tell me to do anything else" I say and Ethan laughs then I rest my head on a pillow.
