Chapter 88

Ethan POV
I just picked Carson up from school and it's been one week since I punished him for his grades and every morning he's been getting up early to mow our neighbors lawn and walk their dogs and after school he works on his homework then walks our neighbors dogs again.

"Do you have a lot of homework?" I ask

"No it's Friday most of my teachers don't give homework on Fridays" Carson says with a little attitude

"Ok well you still have math homework to work on and tomorrow, Mrs.Solis from down the street needs help with gardening and handiwork around the house you'll be there from around 8am to 1pm and you still need to walk the neighbors dogs at 6am and 5pm ok" I tell him

"How much is she paying me?" Carson asks

"$10 an hour" I tell him

"Dude seriously that's nothing" Carson says

"Too bad it's what you're getting and you better be grateful for it you still got a lot of money to pay back so it's better than nothing" I tell him

"Stop at a fucking atm and I'll get you the money" Carson says

"Carson I know you have the money already but it doesn't teach you anything if you just get to take the money that you didn't do anything to earn to pay me back you took my money-" I start to say

"Hey your the one who insisted on sending me to tutoring I never wanted to go" Carson yells at me

I jerk the car over and pull off the road into a near by empty parking lot and throw my car in park

"You do not speak to me like that" I say

"I'll speak to you however I want you're literally acting like a fucking dictator right now you literally plan every fucking second of my day like it's your life and it's so annoying!" Carson yells again

"Carson I have told you not to speak to me like that-" I say trying to remain calm

"FUCK YOU" Carson yells

I slam my dashboard grab my keys and I get out of my car and walk to his side of the car and open his door

"Get out" I say

"What?" He says

"Get your ass out of the car" I say

Carson huffs and unbuckles grabs his bag and gets out of the car

I slam the door shut and get back into the car and start driving leaving Carson standing there confused

I get back on the road and soon enough my phone starts ringing it's Carson I decline the car and keep driving till I reach a Main Street then I make a right and continue driving for about 20 minutes until I make a complete Circle and pull back into the empty parking lot

I see Carson sitting on a nearby curb and pull up to it

"You ready to go home?" I ask

"Yes" Carson says

I motion to the passenger side

Carson walks to the side and gets in

When we get home Carson starts on his homework

"I'm going to run to the grocery store I'll be back in a hour remember the Valneers and Humphreys are expecting you by 5 to walk the dogs I'll have dinner ready when your back don't go anywhere else" I say

"I won't" Carson says

I grab my keys and head to my car and drive to the grocery store

I pick up some chicken nuggets to make tonight and then I head to the fruits and veggies section to pick up some essentials then I head to check out

Once I pay and load up my car I start driving home

I'm glad to see Carson walking our neighbors dogs when I start driving down my street

I park my car and bring in the groceries then get started on dinner I put chicken nuggets and French fries in the oven and make a salad and cut up some carrots and celery

After about 15 minutes Carson comes through the front door

"Hey buddy you hungry?" I call out

"Starving" he says taking a seat

"Good cus dinner is ready" I say setting the food on the table

"Go wash up" I say and Carson heads to the sink

"Can you grab ketchup and ranch please" I say

Carson walks to the fridge and grabs the condiments then takes his seat at the table and serves himself

"Good?" I ask

"Ya it's good thanks" Carson says

"So I know I booked up your schedule for tomorrow but apart from walking the dogs I'll give you a break on Sunday does that sound fair" I ask

"Ya I guess" Carson says

"Ok and from now on I will let you find your own jobs if that's what you want you already committed to walking the dogs for a month but that's only $200 and you will earn $50 tomorrow so you can find a job that will make you another $50" I tell him

"Ya alright I'll find one" he says

"Ok and for Tuesday night you get a break because you'll be going over to Blake's house for the night" I tell him

Tuesday is Valentine's Day so I'm having Phoebe come over and I asked Blake if he can watch Carson and I know he's watching over Autumn so they can spend Valentine's Day together at least with supervision

"Is Autumn going to be there?" He asks

"Yes" I tell him

"But your rules still apply you are not allowed to leave the house have anyone else over or use electronics other than maybe watching a movie and I'm sure Blake has rules of his own so I expect you to follow them and not cause him any problems" I tell him

"I won't promise" Carson says
