Enjolras POV:
Joly, Courfeyrac, Bahorel, Marius and I were exiting the café after our latest meeting.

"Did he say anything to you?" Marius asks me about General Lamarque. I shake my head no.

"Oh, yeah, will you look at that?" Joly says while hitting my chest with the back of his hand.

"It's that girl from the other day, right?" I turn my head to where his gaze was pointed and I run up to the mademoiselle that hasn't left my mind since I'd last seen her at the carriage. Today she wore a tight green dress that nicely highlighted her hair colour. I walk by her side.

"Do you remember me?"

She removes her gaze from the floor to look up at my face and she smiles. "Yeah, sure, Monsieur Underwear, was it?" She keeps walking forward and I follow.

"Well, I..." I start.

"How could I forget." She smiles and keeps walking until I step in front of her to block her path.

"Yeah, I wanted to clear that up with you because I'm really sorry about that. It was a really stupid thing to do...crawl up a carriage to talk to somebody. But I had to be next to you. I was being drawn to you."

She starts laughing and looking into the street before turning her head back to me. "Oh... oh, jeez, what a line! You use that on all the girls?"

"No."

"Right. I saw you the other day with little Miss Ribbons." She swivels around me and keeps walking forward. Ah, yes. Miss Ribbons or Carol is this obsessive blonde girl who's been trying to sleep with me since the first day she laid her eyes on me. I shake my head before I follow and block her path again.

"What are you doing tonight?" I ask.

"What?" She says, sounding a bit taken aback.

"Or tomorrow night, or this weekend, whatever-"

"Why?" She crosses her arms.

"Why? Our date."

She tilts her head as she sternly says "what date?"

"The date that you agreed to-"

"No."

"Yes, you did. You promised and you swore it."

She shakes her head and starts walking forward again. "Well, I guess I changed my mind."

Yet again, I cut her off. "Look, I know you get some dirty guy coming up to you on the street...you don't know him. You don't know me, but I know me. And when I see something that I like, I gotta ha...I love it. I go... I mean, I go crazy for it." My eyes widen on my last statement and she starts to laugh.

"Okay, what are you talking about?" She says through chuckles.

"I want you."

She shakes her head and smirks. "Oh, you're good."

"What?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"You're good." She says again but in a lower tone.

"No. No, you're getting me wrong." I try to plead with her.

"You're good. You are. You're fantastic."

"I'm not."

"You really are. I'm impressed." She has a full smile placed on her face.

"I'm not usually like this, I'm sorry." She scoffs at me.

"Oh, yes, you are."

There is a long pause between us. I step towards her.

"I can be fun, if you want... pensive, uh, smart, uh, superstitious, brave. And uh... I can be light on my feet." I start clicking my feet on the floor rhythmically and her eyes flash from my face to my feet and back up to my face. "I could be whatever you want. You just tell me what you want and I'll be that for you."

She smiles and looks away. "You're dumb."

"I could be that." I say quietly, nodding my head.

She rolls her eyes as another small smile forms on her face before she skips away to a small carriage that must have been waiting for her.

"Come on, one date. What's it gonna hurt?" I shout to her.

"Mmm... I don't think so." She says after turns her body to me as she continues to skip away backwards.

"Well, what can I do to change your mind?" I cup my mouth with my hands.

"Guess you'll figure something out." She reaches the carriage door and raises a shoulder at me before getting into the vehicle and leaving me stranded once again.
