"We heard it all the way from the kitchen. Of course it could be fractured."

"I- fine."

"Anything feel swollen or sore?"

"It feels bruised. No."

"Is there any pain?"

"A bit." Jason pointed to an inch or two below his ear.

"Does it hurt to move your jaw?"

"No.

"Anything numb?"

"No."

Cooper stood up. "I think it's just bruised and not fractured."

"How the hell do you know so much about fractured jaws?" Noah asked. "I mean, it's appreciated, but how?"

Sean raised an eyebrow at Cooper.

He shrugged. "I just do." Cooper looked down at Jason. "It'll bruise a bit more and hurt for a while, but that's it."

"Sweet." Jason stood up. "And don't think this means I'm not coming with you."

Noah threw his hands up. "I never said that."

"Good. Now if you'll excuse me I, the only person in this house, am going to go to work." He grabbed his bag from the table and went to the door.

"Jason?" He turned. "Be careful." He smiled at Noah and nodded before opening the door and slipping out closing and locking it behind him.
