Hogwarts {AU}~ Gally

I was on my four poster bed of my dorm happily reading a book, with light music in background. My cat curled up on my lap and ice-cream on the bed-side table. Life was awesome!

Unfortunately reality kicked me hard and I looked at my left to see my best friend Hannah Abbot, frantically trying to get my attention.

"What?" I groaned as I wiped my eyes to get rid of sleep.

"What were you daydreaming about?" She asked excitedly. I knew what she was thinking, that I finally have a serious crush on someone. Don't get me wrong, I have found many guys attractive, just the fact that obsessing over a guy who may turn out to be a jerk, scares me. I don't want to get my feelings hurt.

"Not boys."I replied, still sleepy as hell. "Just thinking of my plans this weekend."

"What are you going to do?" I smirked and replied,

"I'll be in my dorm. Making no noise and pretending that I don't exist."

"You're so boring."She groaned and I just laughed. I heard the bell go off. Everyone in the class either shouted or let out a sigh of relief. I couldn't blame them though. After a whole week of being pressured about OWLs and dealing with Umbridge or as I like to call her Umbitch's shit, had tired everyone out. I quickly packed my things and got up, sighing as I heard the crack after stretching.

"I'm going to the library. I have study plans with Neville." Hannah announced and stood up.

"Oooh Neville, huh? On a study date? Go on." I teased her, it was no secret that my best friend was head over heals for the gryffindor. She frowned but her face turned scarlet.

"He will never like me like that. He loves that Ravenclaw girl, Loony Lovegood." I glared at her nickname.

"It's Luna Lovegood, and don't worry. He'll come around one day cause deep down, no matter he loves you, he is just too stupid to realize it. " [I was right tho wasn't I? ;) ] That managed to make her smile a bit. Completely forgetting the sadness, she bid her goodbyes and started walking away. Not before glaring at me as I shouted, "USE PROTECTION" and winked at her.

I made my way towards the great hall as it was almost time for dinner, occasionally laughing as Justin did a rather horrible mimic of Umbridge. Our moment was interrupted by cackles and mocking voices. I turned around to see none other than the Slytherins, along with Gally, the biggest bully of the school.

My friends quickly scrambled away, as to afraid to get noticed by them. But, I wasn't backing down. I was too tired with stereotype that Hufflepuffs are weak, and this was the moment to prove our strengths.

I walked closer to the group to find them bullying an innocent first year. I raised my head to look like I wasn't afraid of them and put a hand on the girl's shoulder.

"HEY! LOOK! IT'S THAT WEAK HUFFLEPUFF."One of them shouted.

"What are you doing? Can't you see I'm talking to this girl." Gally shouted as I pushed the girl behind me.

"Pick someone you're size. Stop bullying innocents like her." I replied with a stern voice, not breaking eye-contact.

"Oohh. Feisty. What will you do?"

"I will stop you. Every. Single. Time."

"I advise you better run to your muggle parents. You filthy mudblood." That was it. My breaking point. Mess with me all you want, but NOT MY PARENTS.

"I challenge you to duel me." He lets out a cackle along with the others and says,

"I don't want to duel a pathetic mudblood like you."

"Why? Are you scared of a weak hufflepuff girl? Or that you can lose to a mudblood like me, damaging a pureblood's ego like yours?" I mocked him and honestly it was amazing, watching him get red with anger and embarrassment.

"Fine. We'll have a duel, tonight at 8 on the Quidditch field. Don't be late." With that said, I gave a curt nod and walked away. Oh god! What have I gotten myself into?

--------TIME SKIP----------

I made my way down the Quidditch field alone. My friends were shocked when I told them about this duel would be an understatement. Everyone knows not to mess with Gally and his side-kicks, and me?

The girl who just minds her own business, got in a duel with him?

My friends said and I quote, "Being the stubborn person you are, we know you won't back down, so good luck and at least try to last more than 5 seconds, please?"

I was so lost in my thoughts that before I knew it, I was in the front of the Quidditch field. I took a deep shaky breath and tried to calm down. No turning back now. With my body shaking internally, I entered the field and looked around for my opponent.

"Well, well, well. Look, who finally decided to show up." I heard a familiar voice call out to me. I turned around to face Gally who was a few steps away from me. He was alone, I furrowed my brows for a second, before putting on my stern face again.

"Let's just get this over with."

"Stupefy" He shouted and I easily blocked it.

"Incendio!" I shouted which he blocked but barely.

"Incarceous!"

"Rictumsemra"

After 5 minutes of this duel, I won after disarming Gally with 'Expelliarmus'. I made a mental note to thank Harry for the DADA lessons.

I easily caught Gally's wand with my hand, and he was forced to surrender. I felt bad for him and went in front of him. I crouched down handing him his wand.

"I'm sorry. This duel was a stupid idea." I apologized, looking at anywhere but him. From the corner of my eye, I could see him giving me a look of confusion.

"Why are you sorry? I'm the one who bullied those kids, you just stood up for them. If anyone, I should be the one to apologize." I finally looked at him in disbelief, and decided to play along.

"You're right. You are the one that should apologize. But, because I won the bet, you're going to do whatever I say." He nodded, fearfully.

"You're going to stop bullying people, and tell no one about this night. I may have won, but you still have a reputation to maintain. I know that deep down, you're not that much of a prick, and just do this to impress your father, who'll most certainly kill both of us, if he knew about this duel. So, pick your arse up, take me back to my common room before Inquisitorial squad caught us, and if they do, make something up. So, we will tell people you won, if you stop bullying the kids. You hear me?" He looked surprised by the deal, but eagerly nodded and took me back to my common room.

"And that kids is the story of how I met your father. Now, go to bed, you're starting Hogwarts tomorrow, you have to wake up early." I kissed my twin kids- Fredrina and Brenda, night.

"I'll miss you mum." Fredrina said, tears in her eyes. I smiled, forcing back my own tears.

"I'll miss you too my dear. But, you'll visit us at Christmas!" Freddie only nodded and closed her eyes. I sighed and made my way out of the room.

"You'll them you won that duel?" Gally asked putting his strong arms around my waist.

"Yes, and you know why? Cause I DID WIN" I stuck my tongue out and ran upstairs. Gally only laughed and shook his head, silently thanking the little girl he bullied that fine day.
