Ashton's POV

Kyle was awake, surprisingly. Still had to carry him, though. Kyle decided to start talking.

"Huh. Usually I'm the one carrying people on my back."

I smiled. "Well, you always overworked yourself when you helped others."

There was silence for a moment.

"Ashton?"

"Yeah?"

"Where are we going?"

I grinned. "We're gonna see Quinn. She can fix you."

Kyle laughed. "That's going to be a fun conversation. She hasn't seen me in what, a year or two?"

"Regardless, she'll be happy to see you."

A pause. Then, "Ash, are we good?"

I sighed.

"I don't know. The whole thing was about Shadow killing you. You weren't the problem."

We arrived at Quinn's door.

I knocked, and the door opened.

She looked at me, saw the bloody guy in my hands, and simply held the door open.

"Who's the patient this time, Ashton?"

I smirked. "I'll let him tell you himself. If you can fix him."

She scoffed, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Kyle taught me the best he knew. I can heal him."

The 'patient' smiled.

As she began to prepare to heal him, I remarked, "You know Quinn, you're one of the best healers I know that isn't an adept."

She blushed. Then, she got back to work.

"There's so much blood on him.... What happened?"

"Septima overuse."

She shook her head. "Can't be. It wouldn't be this bad. What was his Septima?"

"Healing Light."

She froze, giving me a look. I nodded.

"It's him, Quinn. It's Kyle."

"I-I don't understand. You said you saw him die!"

"He can explain it better than I can."

She nodded, and got back to work.

"Well, Kyle's unique Septima explains his healing factor."

I gave her a confused look. "Healing factor?"

She nodded. "Once I fix the fatal damage, his body will heal the rest on his own."

She gave me a small smile. "Let me guess: He got this healing someone else?"

I nodded with a grin.

"Guess he hasn't changed then. Give him a few days. Until then, you're staying here."

I chuckled. "Yes, dear..."

She went flaming red as she left to prepare the guest room.

Juggernaut's POV

I returned to Eden, the girl with me. The girl was awake, but she hasn't said anything. Until now.

"Why did you take me away?"

The girl was only eight, so I'd be honest.

"You're insurance."

"You mean bait?"
