Chapter 10: Surprises, Slumber Parties and Special Guests

Melo's POV:

20 minutes later we arrived at the building but before I can get out Katerina stops me."Put this on first" she hands me blind folds and I do as I'm told surprisingly. She succeeded in leading me through the entrance of the building, elevator, and we are now in front of a door."Do you remember me telling you that my place was getting renovations done? Well it is finally finished and I wanted you to be the first person I show it to" She explains and I smile sweetly at that."Hurry up so I can take these blindfolds off" she laughs at my impatience then let's us in. I gasp and feel my knees growing weak from the sight. She has a huge dark themed penthouse apartment. "So you have money or is this from your parents?" I ask before my brain can stop me."This is all me love. I honestly haven't talked to my parents since I moved out after high school" I bite my lip in embarrassment then quickly apologize."No don't worry, we haven't really talked about the families yet so you couldn't have known that. I prepared a few things so we have to move on!" She sprints to the left and I am confused."The bubble bath is still the perfect temperature with rose petals in it, honey scented candles are lit up, the wine is cooled and ready to be poured, and I have pandora ready for whatever playlist you would like to listen to" I am completely shocked by all of this but also falling for her more."I left the jets off incase you don't like jacuzzis" she says suddenly getting all shy."Are you proposing to me or something? Is this a dream? And what semi sane person doesn't like jacuzzis? Come on girl!" I look at her with honey spilling from my eyes."Well I wasn't sure if I should buy you something nice or take you to a restaurant. Then your squad found my number and told me about your day while they were on their lunch break so I decided to help you relax a bit because.... I really like you" I want to say the first thing on my mind but I fight against it for now and just hug her deeply."This is the best surprise anyone has ever given me and I hope to show you how grateful I am one day" she winks then says "It is no problem at all" We head to the bathroom and I am in awe some more. She shakes her head then bumps me towards the jacuzzi."Enjoy your bath Mel" I stop her before she leaves."It is so rude to let a lady drink by herself you know" She goes to get herself a glass while I strip down and get in the tub. I moan involuntarily as I feel the warmth of the water consume me."I might have to marry her because this is exactly it" I mutter quietly hoping she doesn't hear me talking like that so soon."Here is the remote for the jets and your wine milady" She mocks an old Englishman accent and I accept with the same. We are literally just sipping and chilling with the food. This tops ANY date I have been on in my 22 years of living!

Kamryn's POV (SURPRISE!):

After Lauryn and I kick Melo out for her amazing date surprise I sigh disappointedly. "What is up with you? You been sighing all day" Lauryn questions me and I point a finger at her then towards the door."Yall out here all boo'd up and I'm just here alone, loving love but love don't love me!" she laughs and pats me on the head."I'm single too what are you on about?" I glare at her."Texas Boy is CRAZY about you and you are only publicly single so shut up. I bet he is waiting for the right time like your Birthday or some day more savage like Josh's wedding infront of glasses" I smirk and she smacks my arm."Stop these delusions child! Austin don't care about no Yaishawn Melendez ok? He wouldn't do that" she laughs and continues to wipe everything down."You're right, your man is soft like a Kitten. But I'm telling you that official claim is coming up" I finish washing the dishes and start putting them in the dishwasher for drying."I sure hope so because we been dealing with each other for months now and I'm too used to him which I hate saying. Getting used to people gets you used and everything hurts in the end" I nod understanding but I just know that isn't the case with this guy."He does know that I'm staying over tonight and tomorrow right? So no bunny time"I tease and she winks at me."Let me text him now so he knows because he probably forgot" She runs off and I start the drying process on the dishwasher. "He asked what do we want to eat and snack on. Also he made margaritas with the extra kick like we like and put it in the freezer so we can just have them when we arrive" I applaud him and ask if he does party request. Lauryn shakes her head then we fix up the chairs. Right as we finish Austin comes in looking comfy but fly."Well hello Chauncey, is the car ready?" I tease and he goes along with it making me approve of him more."Of course Madame and Mademoiselle" I snicker at a confused Lauryn."I'm not married though" Austin pulls her in and leans down to her ear."Says who?" He whispers then opens the door for us leaving her shook. I lean my head on her shoulder in the car and start humming 'I Can Hear the Bells' from Hairspray.  We go to a taco joint and order a bunch of food which we will probably regret later but who cares. Austin pays while we were in the bathroom which Lauryn got mad at."Hey miss, here is your complimentary bottle of Tequila for your birthday coming up. Your brother told us about it" We thank the waiters then head out again. When we get to the house I don't get to admire it because Lauryn slammed the door."Don't be slamming doors like you own the place now" I scold her playfully but unfortunately I triggered her sarcasm."I try to pay for staying here but somebody doesn't allow me to" she glares at Austin storming to the living room."You need the money to start your own business so forgive me for thinking of you and your dreams! I have the money and I adore you so why shouldn't I spend it on you?" He asks red in the face but I'm too caught up in what he said before."I have handled paying for things and budgeting before so I don't need help with that. You could have at least asked if I wanted to split the bill or something Austin" her little self gets in his face and I'm scared she will swing. He sighs and says that she is right."I didn't put that into consideration because I was honestly trying to show off a little infront of your bestfriend. I'm sorry baby" he apologizes and she tippy toes a little to kiss him."That was too cute and I feel more single now. Can we drink and eat?" I pout irritated and the couple laughs at me."I have some friends I can introduce you to if you would like" Austin says but to not seem desperate I decline. "Don't be that guy that dates the bestfriend and tries to hook you up out of guilt. I'll be okay" I say with fake confidence."Well one of my boys is coming down because he has some video shooting out here. But I don't have to introduce yall if-" I cut him off."Let's not get crazy now! If the guy is coming down we obviously should meet him so he won't feel lonely or awkward you know. You should invite him to the Birthday too I mean Lauryn can we invite your man's friend?" They crack up and explain that he was already invited and we are meeting up with him tomorrow since we have the day off from work."Perfect.... you know because now he won't just have one friend out here" Lauryn kisses my cheek."Yeah that's why" Austin smirks then we all get lit since the vibe has been fixed."Babe my friend arrived early and asked if he could spend the night because the hotel-" "Of course he can! What kind of friend are you to put him in a hotel!? Does he need a ride? I can drive!" Lauryn is rolling on the floor at my excitement."I ordered an uber so he'll get here just fine" Austin says and I decide to sip my margarita to calm down."Well I'm going to shower while we wait" Lauryn announces while giving me a look."I should shower too!" I shout then rush off to one of the guest rooms. I take out a decent sleep shirt and some shorts to wear. I put on some music and get to business.

Lauryn's POV:

I am struggling to put the shower cap over my bonnet and it is pissing me off."Just take it off love. You are getting your hair done again right?" I pout and turn to Austin."Its a touch up appointment so unless I want to pay again I gotta keep the hair in shape" I fist pump when the cap finally goes over the bonnet."Now we're cooking with grease!" Austin snickers and calls me an old southern lady."Well you sleep with me so you must have a grandma kink" I shrug and he gawks at me."I'm older than you so how does that work exactly?" I am about to explain myself but he hops in the shower ignoring me."Low blow" I hop in the other side and handle my business too.

*10 minutes later*

Austin's Friend's POV:

I get to the house and ring the bell a couple of times. No one answers so I use the spare key Austin gave me a while back when I visited more."Yall don't hear the bell- CHRIST!" A curlyheaded girl suddenly shrieks gripping a towel that is tied tightly around her body."Austin gave me a key a while back and since he was taking a long time to answer I let myself in. I am so sorry!" I start to ramble and she giggles nervously back."It's all good, I don't live here so if he is fine with it then I am too. My name is Kamryn with a K by the way" The girl says smiling politely."I'm Yugyeom but you can call my YG or Yugy like from Yugioh but no relation" I internally smack myself when I said the last part."I mean that would be cool if we could be related to cartoon characters but I get it. I'm actually convinced that my best friend is related to Elmo or Tweety Bird" she teases and I laugh."So your bestfriend is the one with this dork huh? Congrats to them" she laughs now and I really like hearing it."Trust me she is way more dorky than he is and don't get me started on those two! They are basically married but he hasn't grown a pair and asked her out yet. Want a margarita or do you not drink? How old are you?" She walks to the kitchen and I follow her with my eyes."We are two years apart from what Austin told me and I would be an idiot not to take a drink from a beautiful girl" She blushes and waves me off."Do you greet all guest in just a towel, what would mother say?" I assume that tiny girl with the pretty eyes and bonnet is Lauryn. She says that smirking at a flush faced Kamryn."You are my mom when I'm with you so chill. I will be back Yugy" she says before rushing to her room."Holy hell!" There's a slide then a crash."Why are you naked!?" Austin screams like a child."Why did you take so long in the damn shower!? You knew your friend was on the way and yall was in there being nasty!" Kamryn yells back."We didn't even take a shower together, we are being respectful towards you and- did you say my friend is here? Is he cute or what? Wait that came out wrong" suddenly I hear a smack followed by a yelp."Can I get dressed so I can get my mack on? We can talk about this later!" She exclaims then a door is slammed."Are they always like this?" I ask and Lauryn nods."Are you trying to get your mack on too?" I nod and we fist bump before going to the couch with our drinks.
