Nene's POV

Lola stayed for a week at my house during the short holiday. I've never seen her so elated as she was when she stayed at my home. She got along with everyone so much that anyone would think my parents gave birth to her.

Lola, my younger sister: Erima and i went to Lola's parents house at Banana Island to stay and make preparations for Lola's birthday. Lola's parents told us not to go to Lekki yet as they wanted to suprise Lola with 'something special' on her birthday.

One of the top event planning companies was contracted to organize Lola's birthday. Though the party was meant for only family members and a few close friends, the preparation looked like they were going to host the entire city.

The night before Lola's party, Lola kept teasing Erima and i to respect her as she is now older, since she'll turn 19years the next day.

"So in your small mind, you are older than me? You would have just be as old as my mum na, so i can call you 'mummy' or 'mama' " I teased.

"Please ooo, don't call me 'mummy' or 'mama' i'm not that old... i just want you to give me my due respect when you talk to me... you're still a child... i'm going to be a full adult tomorrow." Lola laughed and poked me.

"Pele ooo. Lola the adult! We are still age mate take it or leave it!" I teased, as i tickled her.

(P.S: "Pele ooo...." is Yoruba language word which translates to mean:

"Sorry ooo...")

Lola who is so fond of Erima persuaded me to go to the guest room while she and Erima will share her room. So my younger sister has succeeded in stealing my bestfriend from me, for that night. I was a bit jealous though but i laughed it off and went to the guest room.

The following morning was a special moment for Lola as her mum, her dad and everyone in the house, including the entire domestic staff all went to her room and woke her up with the usual 'Happy Birthday' song.

Lola cried as everyone sang the 'Happy birthday to you...' song. I couldn't help but shed a tear as we all sang. After we were done singing, Lola's mum and dad said some prayers for her then Lola made a wish before she blew out her 19 candles that were on a heart shape cake with pink frosting.

After everyone had left Lola's room, Erima and i decided to present our gift to Lola. We both figured that since Lola can afford to buy anything she wants, why don't we give her a gift that is so special that her money can't buy. So we came up with an idea to make a video, recording funny skits we made and pictures of the fun times we spent together from the day we met till her birthday.

Lola laughed and cried throughout as she watched the funny video clips and the pictures we uploaded with beautiful soundtracks which were all her favourite songs. Erima and i joined her to laugh and cry too... It was a very emotional moment for us.

As soon as the video stopped playing, Lola embraced Erima and i and said:

"Thanks. I love your gift! It made my day. This really means a lot to me. You both are the sisters i always wish i have. Thank you. I love you both." Lola began to cry again.

I soothe Lola's back to make her stop crying and feel at ease. We went about to do our usual morning routine and get ready for the big event. We wore our outfits and made up.
