Chapter 21

Michaels POV:

Waking up never felt so easy to do.
It's still dark. I sigh. My body must have had enough of letting me sleep.
I stretch out and make sure to not hit Jeremy as I check the time.
6:12am
Well not as bad as I thought it would be.
I sit up. I'm not as weak as I was before.
To be honest I actually want to go back to school.
I decide to get ready incase Jeremy let's me.
I shower, get some clean clothes and sort my hair out. By the time I'm done Jeremy's alarm is going off.
I sit on the bed next to him.

"Heyyyy"

As I've mentioned before. He's really not a morning person.

"Whatttt"

I smile and push his hair off his face.

"Come on sleepyhead. We have school"
"What? You're not meant to be going back in"
"I feel fine. I don't wanna be stuck at home"

He rolls onto his side

"Fine. If you let me sleep"
"No Jeremy. Come on. You gotta get up"
"You're the worst"
"Love you"

I poke him in the side and he jerks up.

"Okay okay okay!!"

He gets up quickly. God I never noticed how tiny he is. He might be taller than me but he's a lot skinnier
He's blessed with fast metabolism.

I head downstairs. My mom isn't happy with the fact I'm going to school

"Michael you know you're not meant to be going back yet"
"I know but if I feel better then why can't I?"

She sighs

"If you feel sick or weak you have to come home. Promise me that"
"I promise"

Jeremy walks in

"I'll make sure he does"
"See. I will. I promise mom. Please"
"Fine. Be careful"

I give her a hug

"I will. I promise"

I pull away as my phone buzzes

"I'm off to work. Call me okay if you feel sick"
"Okay. Will do"

I check my phone, it's from Rich. He's messaged me a ton recently. Mainly panicking about Jake. And low and behold this message is also about Jake
