I put the letter back in the envelope and cleaned up my tears again.

I looked back at the box wondering if I should open my dad's letter now.

Maybe not today, I have a lot to digest.

I put my mom's letter in the box and put the lid on it.

I got up and carried the box to my room, putting it on my desk.

I went into my bathroom and washed my face.

"Are you all right, love?" I jumped at the sound of his voice.

"Don't do that, Corbyn!" I exclaimed, getting my air back.

"Sorry..." He said, putting me into his arms. "I was worried, you disappeared."

"Can we talk about that later? I don't want to talk about it." I told him with a little smile on my lips.

"Of course, love." He placed a little kiss on my lips.

"Did they yell at you a lot?" I asked him, referring me to my brothers.

"Nothing I couldn't handle." He said giggling. "I prefer be the one who takes the screams and not you."

I smiled at him and took his hand into mine.

"I think I'm going to be yelled at when I go downstairs, but with you there, I think it's going to be easier." He smiled at me and took me out of my room.

"It's better we get going before they come here." He said.

We giggled and went down the stairs.
