CHAPTER 10 [Missing]
Previously…
Time to face death… something that happens to everybody, werewolf and human alike. But not vampires… their nothing but walking corpses acting as parasitic leeches in the world. Why do they deserve to exist?
I guess I’m really dying, because having all of this pain erased is like heaven.
I don’t believe I will… I won’t give up.

One week later…
ALEX’s POV
I walked through the enormous crowd of busy students, trying to find Gwen. I’m hoping she would be present today, I haven’t had contact with her ever since our date and until now that it’s Monday. It’s been a week already. Where could she be? I kept calling her celphone that no one’s answering and sent her tons of e-mails. I don’t want to spend another empty day…
I see the Coen brothers having a conversation near their open lockers, they had frowns on their faces and furrowed eye brows. Seems like their having a tense conversation. Robert was wearing his football uniform and Jet wore casual clothes. I guess I should take this chance, even though this risk might be suicidal. I’m desperate to find out where Gwen is even though I know how enormous the enmity of her brothers for me is.
“Let’s check every single house in Blackwater this night, tear them down if we have to. We just have to find her.” I heard Jet say while Robert just nodded.
“Hey Jet, Robert.” I greeted with fake enthusiasm.
Their conversation broke and they turned to me, their faces turn into solid glares and malevolent scowls. Their laid back pose changed into intimidating, arms crossed and feet planted on the ground. I guess they have their guard up.
“What do you want, Alex?” Jet asked in deadpan. I knew Jet very well since we’re in the same soccer team together with Gwen, he doesn’t usually show his hate for me like this. Maybe something wrong happened? Or was it because of their over-protective-brother intuition when I took Gwen out for a date?
“Do you guys know where your sister is? She hasn’t called or texted for a whole week.” I explained gloomily.
“She’s none of your business.” Robert grumbled, shooing me away. Those words created a wave of anger to overwhelm my emotions.
“She’s my reason for existence, so there’s no way in hell that she isn’t my business!” I yelled demandingly, throwing a death glare to Robert. His face suddenly turned into menacing rage as he grabbed my collars and hit my back against the lockers.
“Don’t yell at me dick. Gwen doesn’t want to see you ever again.” Robert insinuated with that low furious voice. I noticed his eye color changed from black to grey, what the hell?
What he said was like a cold ice dagger stabbing through my heart. (If my heart was alive) Gwen couldn’t have said that. No way.
“Boys, stop fighting.” Heather chided uncaringly, opening her locker that was right next to me.
“You’re lucky, if only you aren’t Heather’s brother, I would kill you.” Robert threatened menacingly.
Robert grunted before letting me go, I fell on my feet.
“What do you mean she doesn’t want to see me? What happened to her?” I asked. Robert didn’t answer, he and Jet walked away.
“Hey! Answer me!” I shouted angrily, before I could chase them, my sister grabbed my shoulder.
“Quit pissing them off Alex. You already got your answer.” Heather calmly declared. I scowled at her.
“So how’s the interrogation going?” I changed the topic.
“Not so good, it won’t spill.” She replied.
“It’s been a week now, need any help?”
“No, I can handle it. You could enjoy your little role play in being a normal high school student.” She teased playfully. Then she glanced at her watch. “Well better get to class, brother.” She said before joining the crowd of frantic students trying to get to their classes on time.
I let out a deep disappointed sigh. The rest of the day was as empty as the others that passed by not having Gwen by my side. I spent my time thinking about her.
What happened to Gwen? My sister is now attending Blackwater High School. I don’t know why, but coincidently she started going to school ever since Gwen has been missing. Last time I saw her was our date, the full moon when we captured one of those werewolves.
Then the craziest idea slams me, could Gwen be that werewolf we captured?! I chuckled at the thought of me even having a hunch of thinking that. But my smile slowly dissipates as I continue to contemplate. Robert and Jet suddenly appeared that night, they had no car anywhere close and they had weird glistened eyes in the middle of that night. Robert kinda changed eye color a while ago. Gwen has always had this unbelievable appetite, wild attitude and unmatchable athletic capabilities. Her golden eyes… exactly like that wolf I took down that full moon! Oh my God! It couldn’t be! If it was Gwen wouldn’t Heather told me about it? Well she never liked her and my sister isn’t that type to actually care about me and my decisions. And she’s the one who have been keeping a hundred ulterior motives from me this past century.
I got to save Gwen before its too late… I darted towards our mansion.
