I continued to feed the cute little white rabbit with berries. He seems to be enjoying it as he munches it with his two large teeth at the front. I tilted my head to the side. "Shouldn't you be eating carrots, though?" I muttered as I caress its elongated ear gently. With that, I've decided to give it a name. He would go by as Carrot. I sighed, what's the use of a name if I would be letting him go sooner or later.

"Hey, darling." I heard my brother's soothing voice from a distance. I peer my gaze away from the rabbit as I look up to see them make their way towards my direction.

"Hmmm? I thought you're going to collect firewood?" I asked since Louis is only holding a stick. I thought they would be gathering a bundle.

Both guys look into one another before Niall beats my brother from speaking. "Oh? It's not just much from where we looked onto-"

"Plus, I do not want to really leave you alone for too long. It makes your brother worry. "Louis wined with a chuckle. Oh, sheesh. Really now?

"Hey, I am very capable," I replied, trying to bit back a smile even. I stood up with a slight shrug. "Either way, there's no helping it. We must stroll some more. I want this campfire to be successful."

"We should. Go on darling, free the rabbit so we could go back unto the trail." Louis ushered, which made me frown, looking down at the busy bunny who is eating up some berries still. If I could just take it with me even just for a little while. "Come on, baby. We do not have all day."

"Can't we really-" I cut myself off in midsentence when Louis seemed to look at me unfazed. I sighed in defeat, looking down at the rabbit and my small pouch full of berries.

I still do not want to let it go, but what my big brother says goes. I slowly placed it down to the grass and ever so slightly, release it from my grasp. "Goodbye, Carrot," I whispered, a deep frown resembling unto my face. It was just for a little while, but I'm still glad.

"Just let her have the animal until we are done here at the forest," Niall suggested. I quickly look up with all hope. This is what I am waiting to hear. I glanced over to Louis with full anticipation. Niall might be siding with me, because of what he did earlier. If he thinks this will make it all better, then he is definitely right.

Louis shrugs with a small smile forming unto his lips. "What can I say? You already named the rabbit after all. Might as well recruit him to the gang until we finished the task at hand." He answered.

I collected Carrot way too immediately first since he might hop away before standing up. "Yay! Thank you. Thank you!" I yelped, tackling him to a hug.

"Now, now. We should really go. Come here." Louis holds one of my hands as I have Carrot with my other one. Niall and Louis picked out sticks along the way while I look around silently. Nature could indeed ease once mind. I should do this more often, strolling. We walked at a smooth pace; my hands tightly interlocked with my step-brother's for some reason.

Out of thought, the wind suddenly blew on us so hard. I stepped a little closer to Louis as I hold out my hair and Carrot close to me. I could hear the leaves make that gust noise before chirping birds follow. The sounds of the crickets getting softer as well. When we stopped walking, I slowly look up to check on Louis, and sure enough his hair is just a bit wilder than before- a few rebellious strands standing up from the back.

"Ow!" Louis winced slightly, his body tensing. He lets go of my hand to rub his closed eyes.

"Oh, no. Did you get dust in your eyes?" I asked hurriedly with a frown. I tried to tilt his face down to see, but Louis just gave me a small smile.
