Chapter 16

Zamara Boa

      "Why are you being so quiet?"

I glanced at Mark who's driving beside me. He droved me to HU. I don't understand myself this past few days, lalo na kanina dahil kay Robin.

     "Does it matter?" A cagey question.

     "Of course it matters!" He raised his voice on me.

     "Let's stop this nonsense argument. Walang papatunguhan 'to." I hissed.

     "Really, Boa. Alam mo kanina pa kita napapansin na wala ka sa sarili mo lalo na nung nagpaalam sayo yung student mo. I don't want to think this way but, what's the real score between you and your student? It seems that you're pretty much affected with her and that guy."

Naalala ko na naman ang nangyari kanina. Naiinis ako. Naiinis ako sa tuwing may kasama siyang iba bukod sa akin. Naiinis ako kapag masaya siya at hindi ako ang dahilan nun.

I don't understand myself anymore. Hindi naman ako ganito dati, kahit nung kami na ni Mark. Hindi ako selosa---

What? Selosa! Kanino ako nagseselos?

Argh! Robin, she's always bugging me. Lahat nalang siya. Pati isip ko ginugulo niya.

      "Please Mark, not now. And there's nothing to do with Robin here. It's just you and me. Huwag mong isali ang wala rito." Tumaas bahagya ang boses ko.

      "You've changed, Boa. Akala ko magiging okay tayo dahil nagkabalikan tayo but I think you need to clear your mind first. And are you a fucking lesbian now?"

Napanganga ako dahil sa sinabi ni Mark. Me? A lesbian? Am not!

Really? My mind asked me.

Hindi ko napansin na nakarating na pala kami sa HU. He parked the car. Nauna akong bumaba at hinintay kong bumaba si Mark pero hindi siya bumaba ng kotse niya instead he just opened his window.

      "You're not coming with me?" I asked him.

He just looked at me. It was a moment of silence before I heard him talk.

      "I'm sorry. I lied to you, Boa."

Takang tiningnan ko siya. Naguguluhan ako sa sinasabi niya.

     "I don't get you. What do you mean?"

     "Remember the last time we talked?"

Tumango ako. Nung time na lumabas kami ni Robin then he appeared out of nowhere. Umagree ako na makipag-usap sa kanya because I also need an explanation from him and closure, of course.

Nag-usap kami sa Magic Caffe. He explained why he cheated on me. Arranged marriage lang pala sila nung Althea na fiancee niya. Hindi naman daw niya ito mahal at ako ang mahal niya. He can't say no to his father dahil nalulugi na daw ang kompanya nila and they need help from Smith Corporation.

And there's so much explanation na hindi ko na pinakinggan pa. Why? He already explained himself to me and I understand him. Natuwa ako nang malamang ako pala ang mahal niya at hindi si Althea.

Then after we talked, niyaya niya akong lumabas nun at pumayag naman ako. I'm still inlove with him. Natapos ang araw na iyon na may ngiti sa labi ko. Simula nun ay palagi na siyang nagtetext at tumatawag sa akin.

At bigla kong naalala ang nangyari sa kwarto ko. That kissed with Robin. I felt the sparks when she kissed me even if just a smack. Naramdaman ko yung sinasabi nila kapag hinalikan ka ng taong iyon at may naramdaman kang sparks, that person is your true love.
