Chapter 28

     "Ate, susunduin niyo po ba kami later?" Tanong sa akin ni Lovely.

Grade five na siya, si Lourd naman graduating na ngayong taon sa high school at si Gwy naman ay first year college na.

     "I'll try babe. May meeting kasi kami ngayon ni Uncle Raymond sa company natin. So I'm not sure about it babe."

Biglang lumukot ang mukha nito. Narinig ko naman ang dalawa na natawa sa tabi ko.

      "What if, kayo nalang ang sumundo sa akin. Sabay tayong maglunch. Tutal may two hours vacant naman ang ate Gwy niyo. What d'you think, guys?" I asked them.

Lumiwanag naman ang mukha ng bunso namin so it means that she'd agreed of what I say. Napangiti naman ako.

      "That's fine ate Jane. Boring din tumambay sa school and library." Gwy said softly.

I faced Lourd. "Well, that's good ate Nics. Half day kami ngayon dahil may ganap sa school."

     "Yehey!" Masayang wika ni Lovely.

     "It settled then." I paused. "So, I need to go guys. The meeting starts at 8 in the morning. Dapat before 8 nandun na ako."

      "Okay ate Robin."

Lovely kissed me on the cheek, same with Gwy and Lourd. I bid a goodbye to them before I drove my car to Makati where my company located.

Nakarating ako sa M&A Corporation. I parked my car before I entered inside.

      "Good morning Miss Alexander." The security greeted me with a smile in his face.

Ngumiti ako ng tipid dito at sumakay ng elevator. Nang huminto ang elevator sa 50th floor ang lahat ng empleyado ay napatigil sa kanilang ginagawa at napatingin sa direksyon ko. Naglakad ako not minding those stares at me. Maraming bumabati sa akin nang makita ako. Everybody knews me because I've been here sometimes back then.

      "Good morning Miss Alexander. Mr. Alexander is waiting for you inside." Uncle's secretary said.

I just nodded and went straight to his office. I opened it and I saw the man that looking good in his black suit office attire. He looks so young.

     "Good morning Uncle." I said.

I roamed my eyes around in his office. Walang pinagbago. Hindi ko pa rin gusto ang office ng Uncle ko, even the vibes of his office's smell.

      "Good morning, young lass." I made a grimaced when I heard those words from him.

      "What's with the face, young lady?" He asked me while holding his laughed.

I rolled my eyes on my Uncle. He really loves to teased me.

      "Uncle, can you stop calling me that kind of pet name. I have a name." I hissed.

I can't believe it!

And then he burst into laughed. Ghad, immature talaga 'tong si Uncle. Buti nalang hindi nagmana sa kanya si K.

      "I'm sorry, Nico Robin. I just loved to teased you." He said truthfully.

      "I know." I shrugged.

I'm still standing in front of him.

      "It's been three years iha. Welcomed back. How are you?" He asked.

I sat in the couch.

      "I'm good----good."

      "You sound as thought it doesn't matter," Uncle Raymond said, alarmed. "But in the past three years when you started to work on the company in New York, you were always working late and not giving yourself a rest. Today--- you shrug. You do that too often when we have a face time on Skype, as though nothing mattered any more."
