Colby watched from the corner of the triage room as his wife and son got checked out by the doctors.

"Does anything hurt Knox? Anything at all?" The nurse asked sweetly and Knox looked up at his mother, he was unsure if he was allowed to say anything or not

"You can tell her Knox" Rebecca nodded

"This hurts" he pointed to his back and the nurse nodded

"Can you take your shirt off for me?" The nurse asked "So I can look?" She asked and once again Knox looked to his mother who nodded and the little boy very gently pulled his shirt off

Rebecca saw her husband out of the corner of her eye turn away slightly and knock on the wall with his hand

"Don't destroy the wall, we can't pay for it" she said without even looking at him and he placed his head against the wall and watched the nurse examine his son

"That's quite the bruise Knox, what happened?" She asked and the little boy shook his head so the nurse turned to Rebecca

"Luke put his knee in the middle of his back, he was playing and Luke got angry because Knox was apparently being too loud and so he grabbed him and threw him on the ground and put his knee in the middle of his back to hold him there and get him to stop" Rebecca explained and the nurse nodded

"It hurt" Knox spoke up quietly

Knox's exam was finished just in time for Annette to get there, the little boy ran to his grandmother as soon as he saw her. Rebecca was thankful for that since she knew her exam was up next.

The nurse took her time checking her out, she wanted to make sure she marked down every scratch and every bruise, there were a lot, everywhere.

"I know this is hard" the nurse stated and Rebecca nodded "But I have to ask you, you were with him for eight weeks, did he..." she trailed off

"Yes" Rebecca answered quickly and quietly

"How often?"

"Everyday" she answered and she saw Colby double over as if the wind had been knocked out of him "He said if I didn't he would hurt Knox worse than he already was" she explained

"I want to do an ultrasound, just to check up on the baby, I know you're tracking her movements but to make everyone feel better" she said and Rebecca nodded "When was the last ultrasound you had?"

"About 5 weeks ago I was 22 weeks" she stated "I started to feel pain and I somehow convinced Luke to take me to the hospital in Galway, he made me register under his last name so nobody would know"

"Did they determine what was causing the pain?"

"Stress" Rebecca nodded "It went away after a few hours"

The nurse started the ultrasound, they watched the screen come to life and saw their daughter, perfectly curled up with her little hand in front of her face

"Look at her tiny fingers" Rebecca said and she watched her mother walk into the room with Knox and the little boy looked at the screen confused "Look Knox" Rebecca pointed to the screen

"Sister?" He asked and Rebecca nodded "She got big" he said and Rebecca nodded

"She's trying to suck her thumb" the nurse said with a smile

"Colby.." Annette stated as she looked at her son-in-law that was still standing against the wall with his eyes glued to the screen

"She's perfect" he said in a whisper
