July 14th

12 Weeks 3 days

Rebecca and Colby walked into Holly's house as the elder woman sat on her couch with a small smile. Rebecca threw her purse down on the armchair and sat down on the couch with a huff next to her mother-in-law.

"What's wrong dear?" Holly ran her hand over her daughter-in-laws back

"Physically or everything else?" Rebecca questioned and Holly looked at her son who just shook his head

"How was the house hunting?" She rephrased her question

"Still nothing" she grumbled

"We've seen six houses so far and she doesn't like any of them" Colby said as he sat down in the armchair

"He doesn't like the ones I do" she said

"Because why would I? You want a house with three bedrooms" he said

"What's wrong with that?" Holly asked

"It's tiny! If we get one with three bedrooms, we might as well stay where we are"

"He wants at least 5 bedrooms, One for us and one for each of the babies and then a guest room"

"That's a little much isn't it? They can't share rooms?" Holly asked

"I'm trying to keep my sanity.. and I don't want to constantly break up fights because this one stole that ones blanket and the other one just watched it happen"

"Honey.." Holly shook her head with a laugh as she patted her son's knee "You're not going to come out of this with your sanity" she shook her head "Hell I didn't come out of it with mine and I just had you and your brother and you two were different ages, you're going to have three the same age.. it's going to be difficult no matter how many rooms you have"

After stopping by Holly's for dinner they went home and Colby got a shower and walked out to his wife who was sitting in the middle of the bed with her laptop on her lap. He watched her for a moment as she stared at the screen and then rolled her neck before looking back at the screen.

"Your back?" He questioned as he walked towards the bed and she nodded "I can tell" he said as he began to gently massage her back

"How?" She asked with a small smile, enjoying the feeling

"Because you roll your neck like that every time" he said "I know you better than you know yourself sometimes" he said and she nodded "What are you looking at?"

"I found a compromise" she said "but its a little further out in the country than you want" she said

"Show me.." He said and she showed him the laptop

"Its a good neighborhood, low crime, good schools.. Its got a giant kitchen, a family room, a big living room, there's a downstairs finished basement that we can turn into a gym, a sun room upstairs that we can turn into a playroom" she explained as she flipped through each picture

"How many bedrooms?" He asked

"Six" she said and his eyes widened

"Why do we need six bedrooms?" He questioned

"Well One for us, three for each of the babies, a guest room and we can turn the other one into the office or it could be turned into another bedroom if we need it"

"Why would we need it to be another bedroom?" He asked

"Ya never know, there could be an oops at some point" she shrugged and he shook his head

"No.. this.." He placed his hand on the bump that was getting bigger every day "is enough of an oops.. we don't have the time or the money for another oops" he said and she laughed

"Its got a big backyard for them to run around in.." She ignored him

"How much?" He asked

"$529,000" she said and his eyes widened as he laid back and ran his hands over his face

"That's over our budget" he said "Way over"

"At this point what choice do we have?" She asked

"How far away from everything is it?" He asked

"15 minutes from the coffee shop and the school.. 30 from the hospital"

"What about school?"

"Literally less than 5 minutes.. We can walk them to school everyday"

"You really like this one don't you?" He asked and she nodded "Okay" he nodded "I'm tired of going back and forth and we need to get in somewhere before its too late and these little gummy bears are here" he smiled as she placed her hand over his

"They're plums now dad.. get it straight" she kissed his cheek
