Rebecca found herself sitting on the exam table at her doctor's office once again. This time there was hope in this appointment, there was multiple appointments where she didn't feel as hopeful as she did today, there were multiple appointments that lead up to this appointment.

The husband and wife duo had talked about this day for the last month and a half with the doctor and they finally decided to go for it.

"Now I want you to understand, the chances of this working on the first try is about 50/50" the doctor explained and the couple nodded

"How many times exactly can she do this without it causing harm?" Colby questioned and the doctor smiled softly at him

"It won't cause harm" she shook her head "The only difference between this and the natural way couples conceive is the actual technique" she said and Rebecca felt her husband squeeze her hand, she looked up at him to see him holding back a laugh

"Lopez.." she warned as she looked at him and he quickly straightened up

"Are we ready to get started?" Doctor Randall asked and Rebecca nodded "Alright, lay back for me" she said and Rebecca did as she was instructed

"Colby" the doctor looked at him "Some husbands don't like watching this part and want to step out of the room"

"He's not leaving" Rebecca said grabbing his hand quickly

"I can just wait in the hall.." he said looking down at his wife who glared up at him

"You are not leaving me" she said slowly and he nodded

"I'm good right here" he said to the doctor who laughed slightly at the scene she was watching

"Some husband's that do stay in the room actually want to know what's going on and they want to actually help"

"I'm good" he shook his head

An hour later, they were in the car on the way home. Rebecca sat in the car as Colby grabbed their coffee's from the coffee shop. He got back in, handing her the cup, he just stared at her and let out a laugh

"What?" she asked with a smile and he shook his head as he started the car

"She wanted me to help" he said with a laugh

"Do you know how hard it was for me not to say what I was thinking?"

"What were you thinking?"

"That's why we are here in the first place because he obviously can't help" she said and his jaw dropped

"Rebecca.." he glared at her "I am not the problem"

"We fixed all my issues, so obviously its not me"

"Do you want to replay last night?" he asked with a smirk and she shook her head with a laugh

"We are so bad" she said placing her head in her hands "Are we sure we're mature enough to be parents?"

"A little late to decide that now don't you think?" he questioned

"I guess" she nodded and she placed her hand on the abdomen

"What?" he asked and she looked over at him "I can tell you're thinking.. I don't like it when you think quietly to yourself like that"

"Is it not weird to you?" she questioned and he raised an eyebrow, confused "She literally transferred embryos into me.." she shook her head "Our future kids are right here.. it just depends on if they implant like they're supposed to or not"

"What did you think we were getting into before?"

"I'm serious" she said looking over at him once more and he looked from the road to her

"Okay" he took a deep breath "Yes, we just had that done and yes you're right. We don't know whether or not this is going to work, so we are going to continue living our life and not obsessing over it.. if its meant to happen it will happen" he said grabbing her hand

"I love you" she said in a whisper

"Forever" he said kissing her hand

"And ever" she said quickly
