I heard party music in Nate's house. I looked through my window. I saw some of my school mates.

What today's date?

I check it in my phone.

"Wilson's birthday"

I froze. .... I almost forgot it.

" Sophie......Sarah's here " My mum called out.

I hurriedly went downstairs " Hey " I said as I saw Sarah sitting on the sofa.

" I received your message " She hugged me " I'm so sorry....I didn't call you back " She said as I pulled away " Matthew is have a colds and I need to take good care of him " She smiled.

I smiled back at her " It's okay "

" So..what had happen earlier ? " She asked and all the memories are flashing back.

Tears fall from my eyes " What had happen was a hell of ride "

" Tell me "

I nodded " Let's go to my to room "

I told Sarah what had happen. Everything that had happen.

" You mean.." She was shocked. Well, I was shocked at first too.

" You..mean all this time...Nathaniel is protecting you ? "

I nodded

" And wait.... " She looked at me directly " He said he loves you ? "

I nodded.

" Holy crap! Sophia Ryan! " She stormed out " Then why did you run off? " She mumbled in disbelief.

" I don't know " I looked away... " I was scared, I guess "

" Scared? "

I shrugged " I..umm..feel guilty "

Tears starting to fall from my eyes " I felt like...I didn't deserve his love.... " I said.

I breathed " Do you know how I felt when I had know the truth? " I tried to hold my tears back.

" I felt like an idiot. Maybe now, I don't hate him anymore"

I stared at Sarah " But now, I hate myself"

" Hate yourself ? "

I nodded.

"All this time...I had hated the person who protected me, who cared for me. And I hate myself for that" I wiped my tears away " I feel so ashamed...that I felt like I don't deserve being love by him"

Sarah patted my shoulder " Sophie, you deserve to be loved. " She hold my hand

" You're a good person. That's why Nate keeps protecting..."

"I'm scared.....what if...things wont work between us ? " I looked down.

She signed " How do you know? If you wont try ? " She hold my chin ip.

" Stop worrying about what ifs "

I toyed my hands " I umm....ummm "

"Shhhh" She put a finger on my lips " Do you love him ? "

What is she asking? Lab Dub Lab Dub  I can feel my heart beats.

" Huh? I said as my cheeks turns to pink.

She pinched my cheeks " I said, do you love him ? "

I looked away.

" Damn! just answer my question Sophie " She stormed out.

" Yes! " I finally said " That's what you want to hear? Right ? " I covered my face by my hands.

" Say it again " She pulled my hands away from my face. " Say it "

Tears started fall from eyes again " I love him "

" You love who ? "

I shouldn't deny my feelings. I should be brave enough. Nathaniel have been brave enough. And I shouldn't be acting like coward.

" I love Nathaniel " I said without hesitation " I love my best friend " I smiled as I said those words

Sarah smiled at me " Then, do something "

" What ? "

" It's his birthday right ? " She said as she raised her eyebrow.

" Yeah, " I looked at her " How did you know it ? "

Sarah giggled " God Sophie, you always talked about it...well before "

She pinched my nose

" Ouch "

" So do something " She hold my hands " Sophie, this time " She said as she put her right hand

on my left chest " Follow your heart "

I smiled at her. She's right.

I am thankful that God give me a friend like Sarah.

I hugged her " You're right " I pulled away " Can you text Matthew to give me the number of Lucas?"

" Lucas? You mean Lucas Ford ? " She asked as she started typing on her phone.

" Yeah "

She smiled at me " Here " She said as she handed me her phone.

" Thanks "  I hugged her.

Then I dialed Lucas' number.

" Lucas" I signed " It's me Sophia "

I heard a paused " Yeah? "

I looked at Sarah and smiled " I need your help "
