"Hey mom" I said walking downstairs and seeing her sitting on the couch
"What" she asked looking up from the tv
"I need to ask you something"
"Okay then have a seat"
I sat down next to her and she turned toward me as she shut the tv off
"Friday after school the McDonoughs are going to Florida and" I started but she quickly cut me off
"No"
"You don't even know what I was going to say"
"Yes I do"
"What"
"You were going to ask to go with them"
"Okay so maybe you did but please mom let me go"
"No I said it before and I'll say it every time you ask the answer is no"
"You're being so unreasonable right now"
"Maybe I am but I am the parent around here and I make the final decision"
"Whatever" I mumbled and walked away
"Don't get an attitude" she hollered at me
