chapter 23

Man I forgot how much I loved that movie. I still think it was better when I was a kid though. It was now around midnight and I didn't know what else there was for us to do.

"I say we play a board game" Riley spoke up

"Yes let's play Monopoly" Toby cheered

The game took forever like always but it was finally over and Riley was the winner.

"Do you guys want to play Trouble" Connor asked

"Yes" I said a little too enthusiastically

Riley ended up winning that too so Connor thought it was best for us to stop playing games because he didn't Riley to win again.

"I don't know about you guys but I'm getting really sleepy" Toby yawned

"Yeah me too" I said back

"Well then I guess its time for bed" Connor chuckled

"Oh crap you didn't bring pajamas did you Ashley" Riley asked

"No I completely forgot" I replied

"Its all good I got you" he smiled

He led the way to his room and gave a pair of his sweatpants and a shirt that was half black and half white with a black pocket on the white side. I then went to the bathroom and put them on. To be honest it fit decently the pant legs were a little baggy and the shirt was a little long but it was nothing too drastic.

When I went back into Riley's room he had already put on his pajamas that consisted of red and black plaid pants and a black T-shirt.

"Hey I have something for you come here" he said grabbing my hand

This is the first time we have held hands and it was amazing. The way our hands molded together fit just perfectly. I couldn't help but notice he was leading me towards the window though.

"Okay just step out on that ledge and then you can step right up onto the roof from there" he instructed

I was scared to death. What if I fall and die or something. I guess he could tell how I felt because he then spoke up

"I'll go first and show you how its done"

"No because once you're out there I'll be too scared to go on my own" I blushed as I climbed out of the window

Once I was on the roof I was okay and everything was fine. I just couldn't look down.

"Okay just sit right here I'll be back in a second" Riley said as he went back inside

He was back before I knew it and he had a guitar in his hands. He sat down next to me and we just looked up at the stars in silence for a moment.

"So umm yeah...I'm really glad that this day happened the way it did and you told me how you feel because that makes this a lot less nerve wracking for me" he started

"Riley what are you talking about" I questioned

"Well last night I really couldn't sleep and since my phone was dead I decided to do a little songwriting. Then I got to thinking about you, then it went from you to your relationship with Zach and I kinda wrote a song about it that I would like to play for you"

"Wait a minute you wrote a song about me and my boyfriend" I asked puzzled

"Yeah but it's kinda about me also"

"Okay go for it" I smiled

I'm still so confused as to how a song could be about the three of us but I guess I'm about to find out.
