Not even 10 minutes later there was a knock on the front door. Before I opened it I looked out the window and saw that it was Riley.

"Hey come on in" I said opening the door

All of a sudden I felt really awkward and I didn't know what to do or say

"So umm yeah you can just have a seat anywhere. Would you like something to drink or anything"

"No thanks I'm fine" he said as he sat down on the couch

"Okay then I'm just going to get right to it" I blurted out like an idiot as I sat down next to him

"First let me say I'm glad you had me over because I feel like this is going to be a deep conversation and I like talking in person more than on the phone"

"Its no problem you're welcome anytime and me too I feel like its more awkwarder on the phone because you can't see the person face. But that's a little awkward because I'm pretty sure that awkwarder isn't even a word" I laughed nervously

"Its okay it can be now" Riley chuckled

"Anyway back on topic, sorry I get distracted easily"

"I do too"

"Okay well I know that I have only known you for about 3 days but I really like you. You're such a sweet guy and you make me laugh and to be honest just thinking of you makes me smile. Now this creates a problem for me because of Zach" I started but was cut off when tears began to fall down my face

Riley quickly wiped them away with his thumbs and it reinforced everything that I thought about him.

"Don't cry you're too pretty for that and everything is going to be fine"

"But that's the thing Riley everything is not fine. Here recently he has been getting worse and I don't know how much longer I can take it"

"What do you mean" he asked with a worried look on his face

"I mean this"

I then pushed up my sleeves so he could see the bruises on my arms.
