1 what inspired the idea of your story?

A  few things, actually. What makes people bad? What pushes them to become who they are? What if the villain was led to who they become? Also, an episode of Doctor Who, where the Doctor meets Davos before he becomes... well, you know. If you had the opportunity to go back in time and make it so the villain never existed, would you? Could you? Time is finicky.

2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?

I've just recently dipped my toes into the pool of the science fiction genre. That's been hard for me. I try and hope it's getting across, this other universe. Researching is fun, though

3 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?

The love story between Isa and Portia, the two main characters. I'm a sucker for romance, there's always a bit in all of my works. I love love ;) And it was so much fun to write a lgbt story amongst the stars <3

4 what's the overall response of your story from your readers?

People seem to like it, I think, which is such a beautiful thing. Every like, comment, and read blows my mind. I love and appreciate every moment someone has taken to look at my story

5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series ?

Technically, SIPS OF DANGER is a prequel/companion novella to a series I am writing: ACROSS THE GALAXIES. All out of order it would seem!

6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?

People aren't wholly one thing. They are a sum of all kinds of parts. Good, bad, horrifying parts

7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?

Give it space to grow into something you'd never imagined. Never quit. Don't feel pressured to write it one way, write what you want. Share your story. Never quit. Use prompts on the side to help you when you're stuck. Never quit. You don't have to write the story in order. If you have the ending or the middle or even a crazy, amazing scene in mind, write it. All in all, just don't quit!

8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?

Not particularly, no. A little lost in her life, I can understand that, but besides that, not really.

9 what is something about your story you believe would draw in new readers?

It's almost a villain's origin story, which I think is fun. The question always comes to mind: What if a villain was pushed into their role?

10 do you have any future projects?

Tons. Way too many. ACROSS THE GALAXIES is a big series on its own filled with lots of lgbt+ characters going on adventures in space. I'm also working on the first novel in another series, CANAL INVESTIGATIONS, that's a paranormal investigative company that solves supernatural crimes in their city.
