I got out of the car with my school bag thrown over one shoulder and I looked at the clean glass building.
"Damn." I whispered.
"Come on. I'll take you to mr stark."
We walked through the huge building and stopped at two black doors.
The door opened and peter walked in with me trailing behind him.
"Ah. You must be y/n." A middle age man said to me as he shook my hand
"The one and only." I said confidently.
"Well actually that's improbable. There are 7 billion people in the world. You're not the only one named y/n."
I rolled my eyes at his smartassness.
"Mr stark likes to do that a lot."
"Oh joy." I muttered.
We had talked for a while until he asked why I was there.
"My old company kicked me out. I thought peter would have told you that."
I furrowed my brows and looked at peter who's eyes were wide.
"No, Peter didn't tell me. He just said you needed a place to stay."
"Wait. You didn't tell him anything?" I ask peter.
"Uhhh." Peter avoided.
"Peter What is she talking about?" Mr stark asked concerned.
"Peter! Why didn't you tell him?"
"Tell me what?!" Mr stark shouted.
"I'm an ex villain."
"You're a WHAT?" Mr stark asked enraged.
"Mr stark I promise I can explain." Peter started.
"No kid! You can't!" Stark shut him down "you brought a villain into my house, knowing she was evil?"
"But she's not that bad!" Peter defended.
"Not that bad? Oh we will see! Who are you y/n?"
"I'm v/n."
"Are you serious peter?! She's tagged the entire city and you're gonna tell me she's not bad!"
"I'm sorry mr stark!"
"There is no way I'm letting you in kid." He shook his head at me.
"It's fine." I started to cry and I walked out of the building. I fast walked out and I got outside when someone stopped me.
"Wait, y/n wait!"
"What peter?" I asked as tear streamed down my face.
"I'm trying to give you a new start. Please. Try at least a little bit."
"You heard him. He can't let me in."
"Well he hasn't tried either! I think if you both work together to make you better you could live here!"
"WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE PETER!!?"
"BECAUSE I CANT LIVE WITHOUT YOU!"
I shut up real quick and let him talk
"I don't want you to go home because I want to just spend time with the person I like."
"You like me?"
"Yes! And that's why I was so crushed when I found out you were v/n. I couldn't except the fact that i had fallen for my enemy. I'm trying to make this work for both of us! Please, you have to try y/n. For me."
I looked into his eyes and gave in.
"Fine. I'll try. For you."
He cheered and pulled me back inside.
We talked to mr stark and he said he'd give me a trial run because I needed somewhere to stay. Mr stark had left and I talked to peter for a while before he came back in.
"Peter?" I asked while standing a little away from him.
"Yes?" He asked.
I walked up and hugged him.
"Thank you for trying so hard." I cried into his shoulder.
"You're welcome." He said muffled in my neck. "After all, I didn't know I'd like my enemy."
