The Next Day

I woke up and I showered and got dressed then left with Ella to the field where soccer is she's to young to play but she loves watching it and pretending she can play. She sat on the bench and I walked over to Jacklyn who was passing out snacks. 

Me*smiles* Hey stranger

Jacklyn:*smiles* Hey how have you been?

Me:Good besides finding out this thing with Beth

Jacklyn:Yeah I can't believe this I had no clue about her and christopher or I would've never talked to her

Me:Yeah

Jacklyn:I just can't believe she's trying to be a homewrecker oh shoot

I looked and saw Beth coming over. Jane plays on this team which is why she's here. She set a box of juices on the table. 

Beth:I dont know what you know, but I know you know enough to hate my guts so-

Hannah came over and Jacklyn gave her a snack. 

Jacklyn:*smiles* Hey way to hustle hannah

And she ran back on the field

Beth:I know it sounds stupid but I was just tryna make it right or atleast make it better for you guys. It was selfish and creepy and messed up and I would take it all back if I could

Jacklyn:Janet could you bring me some more wipes

Janet:sure

 she yelled from her spot on the other side of the field. 

Beth:I need your help

She looked at me. 

Beth:I'm not pregnant. He will kill me when he find out

Jacklyn looked at her and then looked away again. Beth pulled a envelope of money out and gave it to Jacklyn. She took it and put it in her purse. 

Jacklyn:Cover for me

Me:Of course

She walked away paying no mind to Beth. 

Beth:Since when are you to friends

Me:We have been for awhile she was there for me when my husband was gone

Beth looked down and Benito came over. 

Benito:*Smiles* Mom can I come over for a play date

Me:*smiles* Of course hun Ella Bella come here

She ran over and I picked her up and grabbed his hand and we walked over to Jacklyn. 

The Next Day

I walked out of the shop and the sun was blazing and a car pulled up. The window rolled down and it was Rio. 

Rio:Get in

I walked around and got in the car and we drove off. 

Me:Where are we going?

Rio:I got mario sitting at elizabeth's house and I gotta job for you. 

We pulled into an empty parking lot and got out and he walked to a car and I followed. 

Me:whats that

He gave me keys

Rio:Watch Dean he's being shady I wanna know what he's up to

Me:Is this loaded?

Rio:Yeah glove box, trap bottom under your seat

Me:Okay meet tonight?

He nodded and kissed me, walking away and I got in the car and left to Elizabeth's house. I waited and saw Dean leave with the kids and I followed. Around 2 p.m. he walked into a gun store and walked out with a bag and a shotgun. I watched him the rest of the day which he spent mostly at home. While I was watching the house.....

knock knock knock

My attention was grabbed and my passenger door opened and it was Ruby. She got in. 

Ruby:You're working for him too huh?

Me:Its not working he's my husband

Ruby:He's a criminal who is threatening beth's life

Me:She tried to kill him and put him behind bars

Ruby:cause he's a criminal I dont know hwat the hell he did to your head but he's using you! To do his dirty work have his spawn and f**k him nothing more kehlani! So you need to pull your head out of your a** and help us so we don't die!

She stopped taking a breath.

Me:Fine

Later that night

I drove to the bar Mario said Rio and Beth were meeting at and I walked in. They were talking and didn't see me but I sat next to Mario. 

Beth:Can I get a shot of tequila?

Rio:You might wanna slow down yea

Beth:We never got to toast and one for my baby daddy too

Digusting

They were served and she reached for hers, rio grabbed her hand stopping her. 

Rio:What are you doing Elizabeth?

Beth:I lost it

She took the shot and he glared at her

Rio:When?

Beth:Does it matter

She defended

Rio glared at her and took the shot I looked at his expression. He looked........upset, as if this baby could've been real. 

Beth:so what comes next?

Rio:Nothing good

Beth:How much would it cost

Rio:For what?

Beth:My life

Rio:*Chuckles* to much

Beth:You haven't been in the game for what 2 months no cash, no pills, no cars its gotta hurt

Rio:you dont know my interests

Beth:I kow they need capital.......and your guy could chop me up in a million pieces whenever you want so what do you got to lose

He chuckled and that made me think

Beth:how much am I worth

Rio:You couldn't afford it

Beth:What if I could?

The meetings ended and he got up and looked toward Mario seeing me and I was pissed.......no scratch that I was f**king livid. I got up and walked out, I went to my car and I sped home. 

The Next Day 

I snuck into Beth's store picking the back lock and it was quiet. I was in this room with a giant machine. I looked around and saw the workings of whatever she was making. I heard the front door open and I hid I heard voices. Then the doors opened and I peaked and saw Rio and beth, I hid back and listened. She started doing things, otherwise they were silent. I peeked again and watched them. She made fake money, funny money and he watched. 

Beth:pulps gotta dry now

Rio:okay

Beth:takes awhile

Rio:I got time

After awhile she printed a sheet of the phony money and he walked over to her. 

Beth:what do you think?

Rio:I think I need you alive

He walked out but something didn't sit right with me. The way they interact the way they look at each other. The way he looks at her.....like he-he loves her.
