Chapter Twelve: Hesitation

He was tied up but he wasn't gagged which was odd. Rio looked at me.

Rio:Figure out how much he told then put him down

I nodded and he walked out leaving me alone with Eddie. I looked at him.

Eddie:Please don't kill me Kehlani please

Me:What did you say to them

I said sitting in the chair across from him.

Eddie:I will but promise me you wont kill me please

I took a breath turning it off and I looked at him.

Me:Eddie, I wont hurt you 

I got up kneeling in front of him.

Me:I promise

I said caressing his cheek.

Me:But I need to know what you said

He nodded and I sat back down. 

Eddie:I told them about....Rio

Me:Okay what did you say

Eddie:Nothing they didn't already know, but I also told them about his connect in Canada and the smuggling, I didn't tell them about you or your lady friends.

I nodded

Eddie:I told them about Fine and Fruegle 

He told me a little more and the sun was getting ready to set. 

Me:anything else?

Eddie:No that's everything now how are you gonna sneak me passed Rio

I stood up.

Me:I'm not

I took out my gun pulled back the hammer and shot him. I watched his body go limp in the chair, I put my gun back in my waist band under my jacket and I opened the door and walked out. Rio came over.

Rio:Is it done?

Me:Yeah 

He called two of his goons over to clean up the mess and he pulled me aside. Where I told him everything. He nodded and he gazed into my eyes.

Rio:Did you hesitate?

Me:...No

Rio:He begged though

He pressed on

Me:He was a loose end

Rio smiled and kissed me forehead.

Rio:Stick around Elizabeth should be here soon with the truck

I nodded and he went to do his thing. Did I like what I had to do hell no but if it kept me,my daughter and Rio safe...and my girls then I would do it. Soon night fell and Rio came over.

Rio:Come on

We walked outside the cold hair hitting my skin I walked over to Beth with him.

Beth:I just got pulled over

Rio:So

Beth:So I barely talked myself out of being arrested

Rio:for driving an empty truck

Beth:Why didn't you do it yourself? Why did you need us to bring you an empty truck!

She asked frantic.

Rio:I had a kid,feds turned him

Beth:So this is a test

Rio:Needed to know if he talked I guess he didn't
