Chapter 6 - Calm Before a Storm

"Eena," Yui and Mui shot back from Victoria's and Nova's arms, defending their blind brother's previous assessment.

"There's a 'K'! There's a 'K'!" the dolls argued.

The group ignored the argument ensuing between the dolls and the toddlers and turned their attention back to Kina.

"What are they planning?" Lance asked peering down the road after Emma, Igneel, Silver, and Ame.

"A race to the top of Magnolia Cathedral," Kina answered simply.

"WHAT!?"Lance cried taking off after Emma, "SH*T! DAD'S GONNA KILL ME IF I LET HER DO THAT!"

"IGNEEL!" Nashi shouted down the road. She handed Mui to Kina, "Here, do you mind?"

"No," Kina answered softly taking the toddler.

"Shiro! Shido! You're with me!" Nashi ordered running after Lance who was trying to catch up to the younger children.

"Yes Ma'am!" Shido and Shiro saluted in unison. The two children then ran after the pink-haired girl.

Victoria giggled as she watched them go, "How funny."

"It won't be funny when we're all ten feet underwater," Rosemary scowled walking up to Victoria.

"I thought it was quite comical, I wasn't trying to start a fight with you Berry-hair," Victoria scowled back. Mui looked up at Victoria who was holding her and giggled.

"Nor was I, I was simply reminding you that you shouldn't treat everything like a joke," Rosemary growled, a dangerous red-aura surrounding her.

"You're just begging me for a beatdown," Victoria grinned dangerously, a green aura surrounding her.

"Last I checked, I won the last battle," Rosemary smiled.

"Then I guess you really are losing your mind," Victoria laughed.

"Ooooookay!" Simon cried running between the two. He looked to Rosemary, "Sis, she's got a baby in her hands. No swords with babies!"

"You've got a point," Rosemary nodded.

"Here, hold the brat, problem solved!" Victoria stated giving Simon baby Mui. Simon took the toddler, a horrified look on his face.

"NOT WHAT I MEANT!" Simon cried holding Mui nervously as he watched Rosemary and Victoria butt heads.

"You ready to cry, pretty-girl?" Rosemary laughed.

"Over your dead body, shorty," Victoria smiled.

"Uh... actually you're both the same size if Victoria would just stop wearing heels," Simon offered.

"SHUT UP SIMON!" both girls yelled.

"Oookay," Simone sighed looking down to Mui who giggled again. "Look, never start a feud. Okay? You'll pull your poor brothers through hell and back."

Mui only laughed before looking to Pippi who was floating nearby.

"I put ten jewel on Victoria," Nova announced.

"I'll make that bet," Rose shot back with a playful smile, wrestling her white hair out of her eyes.

"I'll put double that on the fact that they're going to knock each other out," Simon sighed as the two continued to throw insults at one another.

"Hey..." Kakumi offered nervously from behind the group.

"What is it?" Nova asked looking back at her brother.
