the second he flashed that gorgeous smile, she knew she was over the moon for him. she couldn't help but fall for him, and she fell deeper each and every single time she saw him.

each time she saw him, she seemed to find a whole new reason to love him even more. she couldn't get enough of him.

she sat with her brother, youngjae, at the table as he laughed along with his friends, yet her eyes were focused on one person in particular.

mark tuan.

she focused on the way his eyes glistened as he payed close attention to each and every single one of his friends. she loved the way he laughed at each joke said, and she found herself smiling at the sound of it.

"it couldn't be anymore obvious," her brother whispered in her ear as he leaned towards her. "stop staring at him."

she glared at him and pushed his face away, but the second she turned her head, she froze.

mark was looking at her and smiling.

she felt her face burn up as she stared at the smile reserved for only her. she wanted to paint the perfect image of this so she could forever keep this memory in her mind, since as soon as she realized what he was doing, he looked away.

"so y/n, how are your studies going?" jinyoung questioned her from his spot beside mark. it took everything in her to rip her attention away from mark and onto jinyoung, but she managed.

"uh it's going good," she responded. "bit stressful, but it's almost over anyways."

they continued to make small talk, but her attention would always find its way back to mark. he looked over to her and they locked eyes, and for a moment there, even he felt like he was getting lost in hers.

yet he looked down, smiling at his hands before cracking a joke to jaebeom.

once they all got up to leave the restaurant, mark and y/n found themselves walking beside each other, his hands in his pockets as their arms occasionally brushed.

she blushed as she looked over to him, watching him smile at her brother. she frowned when she realized they had made it to her house, and it was time to say goodbye.

she gave each of them a hug, leaving mark for last.

she walked up to mark and blushed, smiling down at the ground as he pulled her in for a hug.

"text me when you get inside, okay?" he whispered in her ear. "i wanna talk to you about something."

her eyes widened as she pulled away, watching as he smiled at her. youngjae grabbed her arm and pulled her into the house, laughing at her flushed face.

"you're totally whipped for him aren't you?" he chuckled as they slipped their shoes off at the inside of the door. she glared at him as she ran up the stairs and into her room where she slammed her door shut before youngjae could get in as he had chased after her.

"leave me alone," she whined, locking the door behind her. she heard him laugh before walking away, causing her to roll her eyes.

she crashed down on her bed as she pulled out her phone from her pocket and pressed on mark's contact, biting her nails as she contemplated on what to type.

to mark
hey :)

from mark
hey y/n!

her heart raced as she realized he seemed to be waiting for her text, since he had replied right away.

to mark
what did you wanna talk about?

her heart skipped a few beats as she saw he was typing, and her heart dropped when she saw what he had sent.

from mark
i saw you staring at me at the restaurant

the color from her face drained as she stared down at the phone screen as he sent another text.

from mark
why is that ;)

she bit her lip and took her time typing, not exactly sure what to say.

to mark
i don't know what you're talking about

from mark
sure you do, i think you like me

she didn't know she was being that obvious, perhaps youngjae was right. she felt embarrassed, her crush of oh so many months now had cracked the case, and she didn't even know how to reply back.

from mark
don't feel embarrassed, i think you're really cute :)
