she sat down at a table in the corner, setting her cup of coffee down in front of her along with mark's as she did so. she dropped her purse into the chair next to her as she pulled her phone out of her pocket, checking the home screen for any notifications before she unlocked it.

she smiled softly to herself at the name of the sender. she missed her boyfriend dearly, and finally after weeks they'd be having a date.

she scrolled through her camera roll, looking at the mass amounts of photos of him and photos of him and her that they had taken over the course of their relationship. she smiled at a specific one, one where he was sleeping but holding onto her, his head on her chest while his arms were tightly wrapped around her waist. she had taken the photo after she woke up from her nap, meanwhile her boyfriend was fast asleep in her arms.

she was deep in thought, thoughts about him that is, until she heard a huff and looked up to see none other than her lover sitting in front of her. when their eyes met, he couldn't help but smile widely.

"long time no see huh?" he chuckled as he grabbed the cup of coffee she had bought for him. she giggled as she locked her phone, setting it aside.

"we saw each other this morning," she replied, sipping her coffee. he shrugged his shoulders as he set the cup down.

"briefly."

it had been like that every morning since he, along with his group mates, began working on their next comeback. they would see each other briefly in the morning and briefly at night. today, he finally was allowed a break.

"how's the comeback been going along?" she questioned him, setting her cup down. he sighed, leaning back in his seat as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"it's going," he chuckled, but she could see through him. she knew all too well he was stressed, yet he still tried to keep his beautiful smile on just for her.

"mark," she hummed. he looked up at her and right then and there, he knew that he could see past his wall. with most people, there would be a wall between them and mark. but with her, it was like there was a window in between them, allowing her to see right through to him and vice versa.

"i'm sorry," he muttered. "it's just been so stressful lately."

she smiled softly at him, reaching over the table to put her hand over his. he smiled as she ran her thumb across the top of his hand, chills running down his spine from her touch.

"it's okay baby," she spoke, using a pet name to comfort him extra. "i know it has. i'm here for you though, just like always."

he smiled brightly before leaning over the table, in which she met him halfway to connect their lips together for a short and sweet kiss.

"i love you," he muttered before leaning back into his chair as she did the same. she giggled and blushed, pulling a strand of her hair back behind her ear.

"i love you too mark," she responded, playing with her cup of coffee. he couldn't help but awe at her cuteness.

"you're so cute honey," he chuckled. "my honey is the cutest."

"mark, stop it," she laughed as her face burned even more. he laughed along with her and took another sip of his drink.

"i love moments like this with you, you know," he said. "i want to make more like this with you for the rest of our lives."

her heart melted right then and there at those words. he knew he had the responsibility of her heart in his hands, and he would do absolutely anything to keep it safe and protect it.

"i do too," she murmured just loud enough for him to hear. he smiled lovingly at her as he continuously sipped his coffee as they continued making small talk all that they could until it was time for him to leave.
