he fixed his hair in the windshield of his car and took a deep breath. he was like this everyday when he picked his son up from school. he wanted to look his best for his son's kindergarten teacher. he even blushed at just the thought of her and her blouses and the skirts she would wear. she was his dream girl; she was smart, beautiful, cared for kids.

he made sure his hair looked perfect and his clothes had no wrinkles before hopping out of his car and walking into the school building.

he walked through the hallways until he finally found his son's classroom where parents were already inside, getting their kids ready to leave. he spotted his son sitting at his desk, seeming to be coloring something. and then he spotted her.

his son's teacher miss y/n was currently talking to some of the parents, a white blouse tucked into a beige pencil skirt while she sported black heels. her hair was down and wavy, the waves flowed down her shoulders and moved with every movement she made. she was smiling, and it made his heart beat faster.

he finally gathered up enough courage to walk inside the classroom, causing y/n's attention to turn towards him. her smile brightened the second she saw him walk in, and she turned to his son, tapping his shoulder.

"your father's here," she spoke down to him once she got his attention. his son smiled and turned around to see his father approaching him.

jaebeom smiled as he grabbed his son's backpack while his son hopped out of his chair.

"daddy!" he exclaimed, giving him a small side hug. jaebeom chuckled as he helped slip his backpack around his shoulders. y/n smiled as she watched this but couldn't help but shy away when he looked back up at her. she'd have to admit, the single father was quite charming.

"i hope he doesn't cause you much trouble in class," jaebeom chuckled, ruffling his son's hair.

"oh he's everything but," she giggled, pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear. "he's one of my best students, he always pays good attention in class and is very respectful."

he smiled down at his son, patting his shoulder.

"i'm glad to hear that," he chuckled, slowly looking back up at her. she bit her lip as she looked down to the ground, a small silence growing between the two. "look this may be a little awkward since you're my son's teacher but i just- i just can't help but feel so? attracted to you?"

her eyes widened as she looked up at him, praying none of the other few parents in the room heard him. he laughed nervously as he played around with his fingers, gathering up enough courage to say what he was going to say next.

"so, would you like to go out with me sometime?" he asked. "maybe like to dinner or?"

she was frozen, her eyes stared straight into his and she couldn't do anything else other than nod.

"yes," she chuckled, breaking out of her trance. "oh my god, yes! that sounds amazing. i've been feeling the same way towards you."

he never felt happier than in that moment, and he felt like breaking into a victory dance right then and there.

"great," he chuckled, patting his son's head. "great. i guess i already have your number because of-"

"yeah," she accidentally interrupted him, but it only made the two laugh. "i'll text you?"

"i'll text you!" he exclaimed, trying not to be too loud due to the parents still being in the room. "say goodbye to miss y/n."

his son said his goodbyes and as the two of them walked away from the classroom, he couldn't help but discreetly pump his fist. he was finally getting the girl of his dreams, and he felt happy for the first time in in what felt like centuries.
