Chapter Two

The next morning came by quickly. Y/n got up earlier then normal as a new found excitement rushed through her. She showered then changed into her Lugia themed outfit as Ninetales used a light flamethrower to dry her hair. When it was dry, y/n put her hair into a high ponytail. She got a message as rotom floated up to her. It was from Raihan since she had his number added from his exclusive league card.

"Come meet me at the vault <3" the message read.
"On my way," y/n replied to the text.

Her and Ninetales started walking to the train station. They had boarded one going to Hammerlocke which gave y/n some spare time to groom Ninetales. The fire type cooed in delight at her fur being brushed into place. Her rotom phone appeared as a notification popped up on her phone. It was Raihan posting again. Y/n decided to look which showed a picture of Ninetales nuzzling Raihan and y/n smiling with a blush. She liked and saved it before deciding to comment.

"She likes you like someone else," she made sure to end it with a winky face.

As soon as she commented, he had replied.

"You're welcome to join," he had added a winky face too.

Y/n felt her face heat up before it was time to get off the train. Her and Ninetales stepped off and out of the station. They were swarmed by fans and people congratulating them still. Y/n noticed Ninetales getting uncomfortable so she returned her partner.

"I really must be going. I'll see you all at the stadium for announcements," y/n told them before squeezing through the crowd and leaving.

She walked to the vault, only for Raihan to show up.

"Ready?" He asked with a pointy grin.
"Yes," y/n answered.

He took y/n's hand which sent sparks along them both as he guided her to the battle cafe. Once they sat down, Raihan ordered food. Y/n wasn't paying attention when he brought her onto his lap for rotom to capture the sight. Y/n was flustered yet smiling whilst Raihan was grinning with his eyes closed.

"That's for me," he whispered in her ear.

Y/n shivered as his warm breath tickled her neck. A part of her, found herself leaning into Raihan's chest. The food arrived but Raihan was busy on his social media's. Y/n decided to smear some whip cream from her pancakes, onto Raihan's cheek. His focus went straight to her as y/n laughed at his speechless reaction. Soon enough, he started to laugh along with her. Both began to eat when their laughter settled down. When y/n finished, she called Ninetales out to neaten the fire types fur. Raihan took a photo and uploaded. It was captioned, "With this cutie <3". Y/n looked at rotom when it flew in front of her to show Raihan posted a picture of her and Ninetales. She didn't know what to say to it so she changed the subject.

"We should head over to Wyndon Stadium," y/n spoke up shyly.
"Someone's shy," Raihan smirked.

Y/n stood up and started to walk with Ninetales as Raihan followed. Her heart was racing and she didn't know why. Ninetales tilted her head slightly before nuzzling y/n's hand.

"He's watching us. Isn't he?" Y/n whispered.
"Nine," Ninetales replied.
"Walk with us," y/n spoke up with a smile.

Her head slightly turned so her eyes met his. Raihan had a faint blush dusting his cheeks but he walked with y/n. After taking the train and the monorail, they arrived at the stadium to get swarmed by fans. The league staff cleared them a path to the locker rooms where the other gym leaders and Leon waited.

"Ready?" Leon asked with a grin.
"Yes. Just nervous," y/n replied as she petted Ninetales.
"Stick close to me Princess," Raihan winked at her.
