My name is Chase Mikaelson brother to Hope. We have the same dad but different moms, my mom was murdered when I was young, she was killed by the bite of Lucien. I quickly fell into a depression. Then Hope lost her mother I did everything in my power to help her through it, I didn't want her to feel alone, so after our dad died we both lost it, and we only counted on each other for comfort. She has always counted on me.
And I will never let her down.
Meanwhile, an old-looking SUV speeds down the road and comes to a screeching halt in front of the church. Hope and Alaric Salzman waste no time getting out and heading toward the church's entrance, with Alaric carrying a loaded crossbow and a bag full of chains. At first, Hope is too focused on the mission to pay attention to anything else, but Landon sees her and yanks out his earbuds in shock. Hope stops walking and smiles weakly when she recognizes her long-lost friend
"Landon..." Hope says, I look at her then at him.
"Hope?" Landon says.
"You two know each other?" Alaric says frowning.
"Long story..." I say. Alaric looks at me and I shrug.
Their conversation is interrupted by the sound of glass breaking and Rafael screaming in agony. Landon, whose music was drowning out the sounds of the exorcism inside until now, Landon looks alarmed and turns toward the door. Me and Hope, look concerned by what is happening in the church
"Dr. Saltzman..." I say.
"Yeah, I'm on it." Alaric moves the gear in his hands then opens the door, but the door has chains on them. I let out a long sigh and walk up a bit.
"Doors are locked"
I hold out my hand"Dissera portus!" I say, then the doors fly open.
Landon looks as though he doesn't believe what he's seeing, but Hope and Alaric and I are too focused on helping Rafael to explain what is happening
"You're gonna want to stay out here, Landon. Trust me." I say.
Rafael, who has been fighting the pain of his transformation, is laying on all fours on the floor as the priest continues to shout at him in Latin
"Maledicte diabolo! Et impius discedite!"
Alaric, ready for a fight, rolls his eyes before calling out to Hope
"Shut down the exorcist, would you?"
Hope raises her right hand and shouts an incantation as she squeezes her hand into a fist
