"Yep. Dito na kasi ako nagpunta after my last class."

"Sorry. We had a short meeting pa kasi after training."

"No. It's okay. I would be too lazy to go out later kung uuwi pa ako. Saka I already did my other schoolwork while waiting. No time wasted, so okay lang."

"So let's start?"

"Grabe! Straight to business kaagad? Getting-to-know each other muna."

"Wala pa tayo nasisimulan Ms. de Leon."

"Eh di simulan natin ang isa't isa." She gave him her toothy smile.

"Isabel Beatriz."

"I like how you say my name."

"Stop!"

"What? Hahahaha."

"You're making fun of me again."

"Ang cute mo kasi. Ganyan ka ba talaga? I mean pag hinaharot ka? para kang worm na nilagyan ng asin, hindi mapakali.. haha."

"Ha?"

"Oh! You haven't seen it. Typical rich kid. When I was a kid, sa province namin yun ang turo ni lola. Takot ako sa earthworm so sabi ng lola ko lagyan ko sya ng salt para madali mamatay. Ganun nga ginagawa ko. Hindi sila mapakali once you put salt sa kanila, and that's how you look like whenever hinaharot kita.. haha."

"Ang harsh mo. And also, may girlfriend ako Bea."

"Weh? Hindi yan narinig ko eh."

"And where did you get that? Whatever that is. Ang chismosa mo."

"Chill. Hahaha! I have sources you know."

"You're stalking me."

"No. Just the basics like kung may girlfriend. Kasi as much as I would like you? Never will I be an other woman, a mistress, a relationship-wrecker or whatever names you want to call it."

"Really huh? You know what they say in tagalog? Huwag magsalita ng tapos. Sige ka. Fate might test you."

"I'll ace it."

"Yabang."

"Thank you."

"May boyfriend ka ba?"

"Yes."

"Oh. Buti hindi sya seloso."

"Seloso ka ba?"

"I don't know."

"So you got your answer."

"Ha?"

"For someone smart, you're so slow."

"Sorry. Pero pag ikaw kausap ko, nabobobo ako."

"Is that a good thing? Or bad?"

"You decide."

"Grabe ka."

"Hahaha. Was just kidding."

"Congratulations. May improvement ka na. Who would've thought? Wala pa tayo 30 minutes na magkasama, marunong ka na mag joke. Pero slow ka pa rin.. hahaha!"

"Wait. Let me recall our conversation."

After a while, his facial expression changed. He finally got it.

"You're crazy."

"Crazy for you. Touched me once and you'll know it's true." And she sang the last sentence. She was never a good singer. But who cares? "Ikaw kasi. You asked kung may boyfriend ako. Pagdating sa'yo advance ako mag-isip kaya sinagot na agad kita. Ayoko pahirapan ka.. hahaha."

"Puro ka talaga kalokohan. Let's start na nga."

"Yes boss." And she did the hand salute.

Just after that one time they met to talk about their final paper, things have changed between Thirdy and Bea. They still at each other's throats. But Bea now knew her limitations. She realized that Thirdy is really conservative. He isn't comfortable talking about his personal affairs. So she just limits her pang-aasar to him sa kunyaring pagprofess of love to him. And now, they smile at each other whenever magkakasaluong sila anywhere in the campus. Sometimes they talk but always about their course final paper.

"Hey. Are we still on tomorrow?" Bea asked Thirdy after their Thursday class. It would be their second meeting for the project.

"Sorry. But rain check. I think coach wants to meet us after training tomorrow for Saturday's game. I'll call you as soon as I can. Are you free on weekends?"

"I'm free for you baby, anytime. Coffee shop again or my house?"

"Coffee shop. We don't need to disturb anyone."

"I live alone duh!"

"Mas lalong we need to stay in a coffee shop."

"Coward.. hahaha!"

"See you Ms. de Leon."

"See you my future hubby.

Just a short update. I actually consider this a filler before the real kwento starts. lol. Just bear with me coz this whole week, I'm not really feeling well kaya sabaw talaga. 😂 And nagri-ready ako sa mga next updates. lol.
