The voice never did come back. He left me day by day, making me think he might just come back. Hoping to have at least one word form him. Hoping. The silence was killing me. And this warm space was making me more and more claustrophobic. I had a violent urge to leave. I was too big and I pressed uncomfortably against the red walls. I wanted to breath.
Maybe I was dying.
Should I care? I guess I should. I do want to see the other side of these walls.
What is outside these walls? Will I get sick like Mary? I want to meet Mary. I want her to not be sick.
I want to meet the Voice. I want to see the Voice. I want to stay with the Voice.
Forever.
"I'm back."
I felt myself move against the walls.
The Voice!
Voice. Your back. Don't leave me again.
"I decided not to leave you alone too much."
Why did you leave me alone for so long? It was quiet. I was lonely.
"I'm a very busy person, but that gives me no excuse not to visit you more. I'm sorry."
He's sorry. That made me happy
I'm just glad your back.
" I brought you your favorite flowers. "
Flowers? What are flowers?
" I think they're soft and pretty. Just like you."
I wish I could see them.
Wait..
Can you see me?
"I see you and your amazing."
I'm amazing.
Amazing.
