Carlisia ran out of the room into the empty hallways, indicating she was late. But nothing mattered to her. Nothing but the gaining footsteps behind her.
Large, heavy footsteps.
 Urging her to run faster.
Suddenly she slams into a figure which quickly wrapped their arms around her, screaming into the person, thinking it was Gabriel.
“Carly, Carly? Its me Elijah.” The boy says, lightly shaking the girl to get her attention.
Carlisia looks up at him and sighs in relief before clutching on to him for dear life.
“Hey, why you crying?” Elijah asks.
“He’s going to hurt me.” She says sniffling.
“Who?”
“The doctor that came over yeaterday.” She replies Elijah just shakes his head.
What had his Alpha done to scare her so much?
Carlisia begins to shake just as the footsteps become louder and come to a halt.
Carlisia closes her eyes, scared that the guy might beat her too, like he had beat David for no reason at all. She was still oblivious.
Gabriel finally stops in front of Elijah looking at the girl that hung to him for life, but miraculously his wolf didn’t resurface.
It was because Elijah was her step brother. Werewolves were very respecting of their families and he knew he could trust him and Ruben with her.
The only boys he might not beat the living shit out of for being near her.
“Elijah.” Gabriel says. His manner of greeting very precise.
“Alpha.” Elijah replies, pushing Carlisia behind her.
“Oh I see you found her. A shame to see such a beautiful girl cry. I was chasing her to return her books but I guess I scared her. Didn’t I?” Gabriel says, lying. He didn’t want to just return her books. Hell no. He wanted to drag her into an empty classroom and shamelessly attack every inch of her skin. Lick it, bite it, and suck it. Nonetheless he takes a deep breath, lightly smiling, while moving to the side looking at Carlisia, who hid behind Elijah’s frame.
Carlisia does not answer him, not as much as looks at him but a million thoughts were going through her mind.
How can he hurt a student and get away with it? How can he hurt a student and then chase a girl just so he could return her books. From this encounter, she had found out two things about him

He was unpredictable

Definitely bipolar

Gabriel looked at Carlisia worried. How can he open up to her if he keeps scaring her?
He looks at Elijah, who says nothing but looks at him, waiting for an order, a command. Gabriel peeks at Carlisia once more before extending her books towards her.
Carlisia moved a bit back as his hand extended forwards but relaxed a bit when she realized he was returning her books.
Just as her books were close enough she quickly took them, in a swift movement, before hiding behind Elijah again.
Gabriel sighs and looks at Elijah.
“Both of you are late for your classes. Elijah I’ll write you a note and Carlisia can come with me to the next class.” He says and Elijah nods while Carlisia’s eye widen.
She pinches Elijah on the side causing him to look at her, grabbing her hand moving a bit away from Gabriel.
“Is there something wrong.” Elijah asks and Carlisia frantically nods.
“I don’t want to go with him.” She replies.
“Carly, were already late. I wish i could come with you but my class is on the other side of the campus. Besides he’s not going to hurt you.” Elijah says and she looks at him, a bit vacant.
“Promise?” She asks and he nods.
“Promise.”
Someone soon clears their throat loudly causing both of us to look at the source, Gabriel.
He extend a slip out to Elijah and says,
“Here you go Mr. Hudson.”
Elijah mutters a thank you and leaves giving Carlisia an assuring look.
Gabriel looks at Carlisia who had her head hanging low. Not wanting to meet his gaze.
Gabriel sighs,
“Shall we?” he asks and Carlisia just nods walking behind him as he makes his way to the classroom. The hallways were filled with the noise of their footsteps.
The sun shone through the windows, nice and bright. After all it was only ten in the morning.
“I am sorry for scaring you.” Gabriel says after a few minutes of silent walking.
“You hit him for no reason.” Carlisia whispers, not daring to speak loudly in fear of him.
Gabriel sighs. This was progress. It was the first time she had talked to him, willingly. He thinks over what to reply for a minute. If he didn’t say anything at all, this little progress would go down the drain but he cant tell her the truth.
“My reasons were legitimate.”He says and Carlisia doesn’t reply.
Without a second thought he enters the classroom making everyone stand up in respect. Carlisia follows him and feels eyes on her. On cue the whispering starts.
“She’s his mate.”
“I can’t believe our Luna is a human!”
“She’s really pretty though.”
“She’s just a kid. Look at her she’s so innocent. She deserves better.”
All these whispers confused Carlisia. She thought they were talking about someone else, because the way they talked about the person, didn’t fit her at all.
She didn’t even know the meanings of a few words they whispered.
The teacher looks at Carlisia then lightly bows before motioning his hand towards the empty seat at the back.
She makes her way to the seat, the heads of the students following her just as she sat. She looks at the girl beside the empty chair who looked like she could faint from fear.
Carlisia gives her a smile which she returns nervously but then looks behind her and quickly scurries away, leaving the seat empty and Carlisia hurt.
No later the seat beside her was occupied by none other than Gabriel.
She takes a deep breath so the tears don’t threaten to fall.
Why did he scare her away? Only to keep sitting beside her?
This would have been awesome if it was David or maybe some friend she could have made, but it seemed really creepy.
Speaking of David, she wanted to visit him, ask him what Gabriel had said to him and what was oh so legitimate that he had to beat up a highschooler.
She gives a glance at Gabriel was looking her, making her look down.
She turns her attention to the teacher that was giving a lecture about different cultures. She leaned forward biting the end of her pencil, finally gaining some interest in the Chinese culture, lightly jotting down some points on her notebook.
She wasn’t least aware of the fact that her simple action of biting the pencil was making Gabriel go crazy with lust and he knew his wolf wanted her. And he wanted her now. He clenches the end of the table bending it a bit as he tries to keep control of himself but fails as he gives another glance to the girl who was writing on her notebook.
He suddenly gets up just as his eyes begin to change color and his insides begin to burn as his wolf fights to take control over him.
The teacher had ceased his lecture as soon as his Alpha came to his attention.
Gabriel went to him and leans into the teacher’s ear
“Make sure she’s okay or you’ll have someone to deal with.” Gabriel growl just as he begins to lose it completely.
The teacher nods frantically, scared of his deathly voice as his eyes travel to Carlisia’s face who was writing something.
She looked so innocent, so beautiful that the teacher felt sorry for her. She was a human that should have deserved a normal and promisingly happy life.
Something which was hard to expect from his Alpha, yet even he could see.
Gabriel was attracted to her. Intensely. And even the teacher knew that the partial reason for him leaving was that he couldn’t take it anymore. He couldn’t take the intensity of what he felt and what both, he and his wolf wanted but could not get because she was unknown to all he had to offer, all he had to explain.
With one last devouring look at Carlisia he leaves the room and jumps into his sports car at the parking lot, zooming out and away from his Carlisia, just so he doesn’t have his way with her.
